John Ritchies "Post-Lockout Power Rankings"

Two national championships back to back at different levels is impressive success. The fact he hasn't been built into the sytems for seasons and just walked onto 2 teams like that is pretty amazing.

I wasnt trying to downplay what he did, just he didnt play 3 or 4 years like most guys, which is how the guy made it sound. I guess he coulda done shitty and had no college success, I wonder if that would have been better for the writer.

yeah, he could of been Jimmy....

on that note, pending Clausen doesn't start a regular season game.....I am going to now lay off him and never discuss his play again.

Probably a good idea, just remember, as bad as you think he was, he is still a better football player than you are at anything you do.

not true at all.

just remember, if you or I were that bad at our jobs a year in.....we wouldn't have them. NFL football ain't the real world.

Sailed over your head like a pass from Jimmy. Sorry

No, I just read what you wrote....you may have meant to write something different.

Jimmy is not a good football player.....therefore if YOU or I are average or good or great at something then that means we are better at what we do in relation to how good he is at football

wrong, as long as he is in the nfl, he is better at what he does than you or I. Get over it.

You guys are a bunch of bitchy little girls about this.

It's his opinion. He could be right. Are you going to come in here and apologize if he is right?

Who gives a fug what others think. Start acting like men, not the cast of "Mean Girls"

No, my problem isn't that I disagree with his opinion (though I do). My problem is he says something that ignorant without any real basis. Don't say a guy lacks work ethic or the ability to succeed without some logical reasoning behind it. Saying "he had too much success at the college level to be good" is fuging retarded. Let's think about other collegiate players who had a lot of success that worked out pretty good (thus far) into their careers:

Ray Lewis

Ed Reed

Adrian Peterson

Deangelo Williams

Ndamukong Suh

Mike Singletary

Ladainian Tomlinson

Warren Sapp

Larry Fitzgerald

Steve McNair (tore things up in the 1-AA ranks and was an All-Pro)

Charles Woodson

Bo Jackson

Tony Dorsett

Peyton Manning (no collegiate championships, but set many records)

Roger Staubach

Deion Sanders

Dick Butkus

Herschel Walker

Those are just off the top of my head. Probably many more, retired and current players. So, his statement is fallacious and ignorant, that is my problem (and I think most people's problem) with it. What, are we not allowed to bash somebody's opinion when they have zero basis for it?

not worth the back and forth but your point still is far from true.

Yes, Jimmy is employed in the NFL. That would be like someone in law enforcement going to work for the CIA/FBI........but if Jimmy was better at his job it would mean there incompetence would allow something horrific to occur where citizens and his fellow agent all blewup due to their inability to handle basics of what being an agent required. It would mean that agent was fired a couple months into the job b/c he couldn't even safely holster his firearm for starters.

You're reaching now, and your butt-hurtness has caused your mental capacity to diminish.

it is not reaching at all........I just gave a real life example of how a person can get a job in the "NFL" of their field. Jimmy is very bad compared to his peers at this level......there are "NFL" equivelants to all walks of life. Most have more realistic results for when you suck though.
