The Carolina Panthers are loading up on Auburn Tigers. After selecting Cam Newton with the first pick in the NFL draft and his top offensive tackle Lee Ziemba in the seventh round back in April, the Panthers agreed to terms with two more members of Auburn’s national championship team on Monday night, adding undrafted free agent center Ryan Pugh and wide receiver Darvin Adams.

Those undrafted rookies can sign contracts Tuesday at 10 a.m.

The Panthers have also agreed to contracts with linebacker Nick Bellore (Central Michigan), cornerback Kendric Burney (North Carolina) and kicker Adi Kunalic (Nebraska).

I'm glad he's at least getting a chance. Darvin had the same number of TD's last year as Julio and averaged 4 yards a catch higher.

Though Adams has been productive over the past two years, scouts have concerns about his game. His slight build, average speed and inconsistent hands keep him from being an elite talent. But with hard work, he could follow a similar path to NFL success that Buffalo's Stevie Johnson had as a playmaker in 2010.
