Here's a name no one is talking about

Zach Miller, TE

I have read virtually nothing about whether the Raiders were going to sign him but he's probably the best TE available right now. Better than Greg Olsen, too.

I think we should go after him before Braylon.

i doubt that hartsock is going to keep us from going after a receiving TE. hartsock is a blocking TE. shockey only being on a 1 year deal shouldn't be much of a deterrent to us going after a top TE either, it's only a one year deal.

that said, i'd be surprised if we went after another TE. i'd love it if we did that, though.

What? Have you lost faith in Gary Barnidge?

No, Zach Miller is just too good to pass up.

whats with you and TE's

When the coaching staff spends the entire offseason talking about how important it is to have a good TE, it's probably a good idea to make sure you have a good one. I like our TE's, but as I already said Miller is better than all of them and it's not really close.

lol its a valid question. jeez you people.

it seems that everyone here is fine with Barnidge and Rosario who have been "poised to break out" for what seems like every year now. oh, then there's that Jeremy Shockey guy who is obviously the most reliable TE ever and surely won't have injury problems.

I mean fug, guys. You DO realize how important the TE is in a Rivera/Chud offense, right? You do realize how much a good TE helps a quarterback, right?

Sorry for wanting to improve the leagues worst offense.

A TE like that could become a best friend for Cam now and in future years. If the price is right it would be a good pick up for us.

Raiders will probably give Miller like 9m a year.

If they weren't over the cap they might..

I don't really like FA spending on guys but TE is usually a good position that translates team from team..I'm not saying go get him but I wouldn't be mad about it.

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
