People chill the F out. Derek Anderson isn't here to start. You have a guy that started most games last season and another guy signed to a $22 million deal as the #1 pick in the draft. You honestly think they're going to want Anderson to start? If they're worried about Cam starting, they'll just have Clausen start.

Right now Derek has the advantage over all QB's in our camp, of course, but we'll see who looks the best and they will choose. If D.A starts, Im sure its something they seen to make them choose him

I like it, it shows the FO is not looking back and bringing in Jake. They are moving forward and bringing in a young, capable back-up QB who could start if Cam is not ready.

Honestly, I would have rather had Delhomme.

If Fox was still here, he would have already been signed.

This is my least favorite option. Anderson is a poor stop gap QB and not a mentor.

This move is 100% about bringing in someone that A) knows the system and B) can help Cam learn during the season. If Anderson comes in, then he will know what his role will be. The only way he makes it on the field is if Cam and Jimmy both suck it up worse than Jake v. Arizona.

If he's not willing to accept this role when he meets with the team tomorrow, then he won't be signed.
