Everette Brown

Recommended Posts

Read a tweet earlier that says he is pretty much getting destroyed in team drills against our 1st team oline.

Valid. Perhaps Otah vs Everette was unfair comparison. RT @FizFashizzle: @billvoth Everette Brown could enveloped by a Snuggie.

A healthy Jeff Otah could make a world of difference. Engulfs Everette Brown in 1-on-1 drill. #Panthers

I for one fully expected him to break out this year... It is VERY early but I have read from reports by people here ^He has been getting mangled by everyone. I hope that he's just rusty! Otherwise yes chalk it up in the L coloumn..

:-(

I've read the same thing as well. But there's no reason to be sad. Just think of big boobies and smile ;)

Does everyone completely forget he had 2 sacks against Atlanta in week 14 last game right before he got injured.

In his first 2 years he has had 6 sacks 3 forced fumbles and 47 tackles and an INT with relatively limited playing time. How many games has he started? Three, he has started three games.

Charles Johnson didn't really do crap until his breakout season. Has he preformed like guy we gave up a first round draft pick for? Hell no....not even close yet.

Is he going to get cut? Your out of your mind. He will atleast play out his rookie contract. And if he has another couple below average year he will be allowed to test free agency after the 2013 season.

I mean its not like he is breaking the bank, we are only paying him $480k this season.

The dude has a ton of potential as an edge rusher. You gotta remember that when Jeff Otah and Jordan Gross are healthy they are legitimately 2 of the best at their respective postions. Brown has a ton of speed coming off the edge...That said if it doesn't happen this year, with this defensive staff, then its probably not going to happen for him in Carolina.

He just does not fit the system anymore. Small and fast is in the past and we need DEs that can play the run well.

    • That zone was so soft that 3 guys were bearly on the screen. No rushing called. Playing off the line 10+ yards. Yeah that's garbage time. It took an onsides kick to make them try to play D again. Until then they didn't care and still wouldn't play real D against Young until they absolutely had to and that was with backups in the backfield. Slow start is freaking hilarious. He was gifted the lowest effort a bad team can give and still couldn't put anything together for 1 freaking series at the end after 2 quarters of warmup ball. It was like watching someone stretching for an hour and then pull a hammy after 10 feet of running.
    • On the subject of Reich and him being no good as a coach, because he wouldn’t change everything he did to accommodate Young. He wanted to sit Young. He knew what Young was.  But to the point, was Andrew Luck a good QB under Reich in Indy? Most people don’t hesitate to say yes. Well, Luck thought enough of his coaching to bring him to Stanford.  There is a bona fide NFL QB that seems to dispute the painting of Reich as a incompetent and the reason for Young’s shortcomings.  Yes he got fired. It appears as if Tepper and Fitterer forced a QB he did not want on him and poisoned the well right from the start. I don’t blame Reich one bit for being pissed either.  And I wasn’t a Reich guy I wanted Wilks. I accepted the Reich hire but never lobbied for him.  Just saying he is being dogged here unfairly.
    • I think its a mix of both. Bryce being too small and offense is too vanilla. Plays arent creative enough. Most are slants, fades and runs. But even Baker and Sam had to deal with vanilla offense and looked horrid. Thats why I say it's a mix of both.
