Proudiddy's Underdog Bubble Player to Make the Team: Thomas Williams

Where did this guy come from?

He was making plays all over the field. Made a few big hits on ST and on defense. And he was talking trash that was audibly picked up by sideline mic.

This guy has something, and it isn't a Jeremy Leman-type of something. He seems to not only have a high motor, but also seems really athletic and his play just stuck out to me aside from all the obvious names (Jimmy, Cam, Armanti, Pilares, etc.).

I'm gonna go ahead and call it... this guy is making the team, and I could see him being a top LB reserve and ST standout.

The smack that he put on the NYG wedge after the kickoff was impressive. Martin got the call for tackling the ball carrier but I am fairly certain that TW was the guy that straight busted 3 dudes in the face at one time. That poo was critical.

He is a combination of thoma davis and deangelo williams, the name speaks for itself.

Joking aside the kid looked good and had great timing on blitzes, if we were still in the fox era he woulda flailed around and ran straight into the OL without seeing the gapping hole he ran through for the sack.

I had to Google him. Had no idea who he was or how we got him. He's actually 27, and first entered the league with the Jags as a 5th round pick. In '09, he was out of the league, then was with the Bills and us last year.

He sure played like he wants to stick around.

    • Got to give some credit to the coaching staff on these. You can grab top talents but without good coaching, they just fizzle out. We've seen that a lot around here.
    • Oh, no TV for tonight's game unless you have the NHL Network, I believe. I could be wrong, hopefully?
    • Early returns are great and exciting but also worth noting that Gettleman had a few drafts that looked incredible early on and wound up mostly sucking (2014 mainly). Also PFF; grain of salt, etc.    I'm completely sold on Tet being a stud, knocked a high pick out of the park like we needed to and always should. Nearly sold on Scourton. Not sold on Princely but he had flashes. Not sold on Etienne as more than a 3rd stringer and special teamer, but that's not terrible for his draft position. Big fan of Ransom and think he'll be a starter.  Cam Jackson : IDK, I see limited upside but we didn't see much of him Evans was a nice find for draft position and he had a great rookie year for a late round rookie TE with plenty of veteran competition. Not sure about his upside though, seems like best case is a long term #2/3 TE, which isn't bad. Jimmy Horn, personally I didn't see a damn thing from him that impressed me all year. And he got a lot of opportunities. Pulling for the kid, but not convinced he's an NFLer.   UDFA: Fitzgerald was an amazing find
