We have Olsen and Shockey... we only need one receiver-style TE.

Barnidge showed some game Saturday... but RBs are WAY more injury prone, and we WILL be using the run to great effect this year. We need the depth there. Also, we need the depth for Special Teams too.

Totally agree, the fullback is a dinosaur in today's game. Also as we've heard the coaches want to get Williams and Stewart on the field at the same time this year. Heartsock can play FB, why keep Fiametta.

That's one player, who is not even the starter. The Panthers have never carried four tight ends before. So it's unlikely to happen now.

Honestly I would like to figure out a way to keep both but if it came down to one or the other Barnidge is my pick. He will be off the waiver wire in minutes if we cut him.

Don't be surprised if we cut Shockey before Barnidge. We took Shockey because he worked with Chudz a the "U". At the time we signed him no one knew Olsen was going to be available. Even up to signing Hartsock. Olsen came around we could pass on it. Got a great deal. Olsen makes Shockey a luxury not a necessity. You can see Barnidge is going to have a huge year as well if he stays.
