The Reason Beason hasn't preacticed/played yet.

Found this on rotoworld, didn't see it anywhere. If already posted my bad

Panthers MLB Jon Beason's Achilles' soreness extends back to May.

Beason hasn't practiced yet in training camp and is currently on the non-football injury list. It makes you wonder why the Panthers gave Beason a monster, $50 million extension in late July when he's clearly not 100 percent. They must be awfully confident Beason's injury isn't a long-term concern. Ideally, Beason says he'll be able to resume practicing this week.

Also sorry for fugging up the spelling and making it seem like I'm 4 years old in the thread title.

His past as far as consistency, productivity and reliability are all reasons he got that contract. I haven't wondered one bit.

I have absolutely no worries about Beason's productivity. When it's game time, Jon will clock in and go to work. If he doesn't get on the field at all in TC, he will still rack up 120+ tackles this season. There's a reason we all call him Beast. Beast ain't no shirker or shrinking violet, laying out just cause he got a little tweak. What's happening now is just the staff being cautious.

    • All I know is that it won't be boring. A win or two along the way and this team is suddenly in the mix throughout the season. It has been a long, long time we could say that at Thanksgiving. And that late bye of ours could give us a mighty leg up. If we can make it to it.
    • True, 12 man money league here….he is still sitting out there.  Projected to have a worse fantasy day than Davis Mills, Tyrod Taylor, Mason Rudolph that join him on the waiver wire
    • Yes to some degree, but the whole point of the video was that that applies to almost all QBs coming out of college. It’s not a Bryce specific problem. And those retreads you’re talking about may not have learned how to take those snaps from center yet either. They’re all growing/going through that process.    Bryce absolutely was part of the problem his rookie year (and continues to be part of the problem) but Frank Reich and company committed coaching malpractice. It truly was a lost year.    So really the question now is do you give him more time to learn or do you think there’s a better option out there. Maybe there is a retread that would be better for us, and maybe there’s a unicorn college QB that won’t have the same issues. But maybe there’s not.  I have no problem having Bryce on the roster next year or the following on his 5th year option if we don’t think there’s a better alternative. Hopefully bring in some competition of course, but give it a bit more time to see if he can improve.
