Cam Newton to Start Friday

JC throwing INTs last year, I didn't even get mad. He was a rookie. What I got mad about was him being scared in the pocket or those checkdowns all day long (half of them incompletions anyways). He killed me. I have no faith in him.

Well that was quick.

Don't expect Jimmy to start again except for injury to Cam.

If the Panthers wanted to see Cam with the starters, they would simply still let Jimmy start and put Cam in after the first series. Easy enough.

This is a statement.

I disagree. I actually think Jimmy is going to be the starter outside of a completely huge game this week from Cam. It has less to do with Cam's performance and more to do with Jimmy looking better in camp.

No, it's really not a statement. Before the first preseason game, Rivera said the two young QBs would alternate starts, at least for the first couple games, so that the competition was as far as possible.

my questions about Miami are simple. ONE QB and TWO Reggie Bush. For QB, i really think they should at least ask Denver about The Golden Calf of Bristol. Maybe Denver will trade The Golden Calf of Bristol and if they do then they should trade for him as the competition for Henne. As for Bush, my question is does he fulfill the potential that the Saints THOUGHT he had??? Remember the last Saints RB and former Heisman Winner who went to Miami??? he turned out to be great in Miami and if Bush does what Williams did in Miami and finally become a great back than Miami should be good next year.

Unfortuantely no one told Ricky to "Just Say NO to Drugs!" It's pretty bad when you choose getting high over the NFL!

That's what's poppin start Edwards too let there chemistry continue to grow

I like your reasoning regarding Armanti. Frankly, I was disappointed in LaFell's game. Not just the out of bounds thing with Jimmy, but on the two throws from Cam in the end zone, LaFell could have blocked out the defender better and maybe caught the TD. Yes, I know, Cam forced a throw that may have been ill-advised, but how many times did we see Smitty bail out Jake just by fighting harder for the ball than the defender. Maybe Armanti can do that given some reps.

Both Armanti and Smith are small, but Olsen is basically a really big wide receiver, so we don't necessarily have to have a big guy opposite Smitty on every play.

Of course, Naanee may have a big game and make all of this moot anyway.

What's so bad about it? He made his millions, did what he enjoyed, and was no worse for wear in the long run.

Don't ge tme wrong. I like what I see in Cam. He has a great attitude....great work ethic...a cannon for an arm. I think he will improve every time he plays. But, he has a long way to go to be a very good NFL QB.

This

The thing about this board seems to be either you're a hugger or a hater. I too am excited about Cam and his potential but I'm not blind to him needing some work. That said, he's still our best option going forward
