Winners & Losers: Dolphins Game Edition

Let's see how long this takes to turn into pure bedlam. :P

In no particular order...

Winners:

1. Tyrell Sutton - Was 2yds rushing less than Vaughn (who led the team), but also had the lone TD. Led the team in receptions as well as tied with Brockel for the longest offensive play of the game for the Panthers. The Michelangelo of the TMNPanthers. I hope he doesn't get cut.

2. TEs - Shockey and Olsen continue to be those weird linemen that catch passes. Some of us remember a Walls that did the same. While I can't yell, "MY BEST FRIEND!!!!" like I do whenever Romo throws it to his BFF Witten, we do have the Shocker and Thor. Thunder and Lightning, Double Trouble, can we get some more hokey nicknames here?

3. Thomas Williams - He has been playing like a man that wants to make the team, and I hope he does.

4. Thomas Davis - While Reggie Bush made him his señorita on a few routes, he also let Bush know that TD holds no man's pocket with some punishing hits. Knee is looking stable so far and I hope that it continues to hold up.

5. Reggie Bush - not a Panther, but he pretty much owned the game until he went out. I never thought he would amount to much in the NFL but he continues to be a match up nightmare if he can keep his shoes on.

Losers:

1. Panthers - Not just because they lost, but the penalties were occurring on both sides of the ball. Hard to move forward when the smelly laundry is making you backpedal.

2. QBs - First and foremost, let's cut the bullshit. Cam did not play well. He had a couple of good throws but he also threw to leprechauns and giants that only he could see. His accuracy was erratic and as he got frustrated he tried to compensate by putting some extra stank on the ball to get it to lodge into whatever body part he could hit with it. Clausen wasn't any better. The 35yd to Clowney looked pretty, but it was negated by a penalty and also looked like it took every ounce of emu strength from him to get it that far. He also had 2 more completion then Cam for a whopping 3yds more. While definitely the more accurate of the two, throwing sideline to sideline isn't going to get the first down marker (nor the endzone for that matter) any closer. I'm in no rush to see either start, but with a choice of Anderson or Pike I'd settle for the Juggs machine with some new shoes on.

3. Dline - why is Bush carrying Fua? Why is he running between the tackles without fear? Ron Edwards better drop some cast-covered bows on the younguns in practice between the ass-chewing they'll be getting from the coaches.

4. CBs - Gamble's tummy ache must have been from how piss poor CB depth is, and they certainly showed it Friday night. I got the runs just from seeing Miami's WRs deuce on them like they were at a Jeff King pants' party.

5. Everette Brown - With AE stepping it up, EB thought he'd display his new technique that isn't a spin. Unfortunately we don't need a flying undersized DE to hit out of bounds returners. I've been sticking up for him his entire career, but at best it makes me look like teeray at a Tons of Fun swingers club: desperately in search of someone bigger (and better?)

Teeray: <3, no rainbow

Jesus, even when Clausen does something positive the spin doctors on here turn it into a negative.

I've stuck up for Clausen even more than I have Brown, but even I can't deny that he didn't look much better than Cam.

I wish I were a spin doctor. I'd have pocketed a lot more money off of two princes and little miss XD

The QBs played evenly and I counted only 3 bad throws by Cam. They were not the problem.

Then you are officially blind AND a homer.

Cam was very inaccurate and eratic. He was throwing high and one hopping to receivers.

He is playing typical of a rookie coming out of a spread offense. He shows flashes of what is likely to come. But then is eratic in his throws.

He will KILL any form of an offensive drie with that inconsistency.

JC was about the same....just different. He is dinking and dunking.

Not sure which I want at the helm. Neither are making me overly excited.

And you are officially a douche bag

Cam had a high throw that he threw out of bounds due to a defender being in his face. There was one throw that was intended for DeAngelo on a screen that looked bad, but that play looked like more of a miscommunication between the two guys on what play to run due to Cam turning one way to fake a hand off, which no one was there to fake to, before throwing it.

There was a high throw to Edwards which was bad. Then the ball that was almost intercepted was bad. Then he had one where he threw too hard and one hopped it which was bad. So that makes 3 bad throws.

Not to mention bad oline play and play calling. We only ran the ball a couple times when Cam was in. Considering that, he played decent.

Thanks try again.

I count incompletions as a negative.

Apparently your definition as a negative for Cam is a GOD fuging AWFUL throw. Merely a poorly thrown ball that was an incompletion is apparently OK in your book.

Damn, you are blowing Cam so hard in your threads that I bet you don't even come up for air.

Keep making excuses for him. He has tons of potential, but is nowhere near consistent enough right now.

Even the commentators were talking about him continuously throwing off his back foot. I guess that is OK in your book as well.

And he only completed 7.

Math shouldn't be this hard. I'm sure you could tell me how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Newton-Pop. Maybe that's where I'm doing it wrong. Here, maybe you do better with word problems:

For every two bobs, you get one that makes you gag. If you get seven bobs, how many times do you gag? Round down. Now how many times do you have to gag until you're the latest update on vomitingvixens?

The world may never know...

All trolling aside, Cam does look to be the better prospect but I'd be more comfortable giving Jimmy the keys to the car until he either wrecks it again or Cam stops trying to get his invisible friends some touches.

Clearly you have very low football intelligence as evident from your posts. A play where the defender is in the face of a QB and the QB throws an incompletion means it's all the QB's fault. Or a throw where the QB throws it away to avoid a sack is all the QBs fault. Or a throw that bounces off a WRs hands is the QBs fault. Or a throw where a defender makes a good play on the throw, despite it being on target, is all the QBs fault. Thanks for admitting you are completely incompetent to form a rational opinion on the topic of QBs.

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
