Panthers' cuts

ask and you shall receive I s'pose

This team has a lot to prove and Gamble is part of that. To say he's done after a lame duck year and after one game after coming off a very lengthy illness of some sort (implying that it was somewhat serious and put him behind) doesnt make any sense to me. If you want productivity then watch some film. He's plenty productive in every game he plays. It just takes looking farther than a stat sheet or focusing on just him in order to see it.

Part of playing competitive sports is all about people saying "you cant do it" or "you're washed up", but a wiser man would recognize that these guys have beaten incredible odds to be where they are. Athletes are extremely driven people. The ones who have proved themselves in the pros even more so.

You just dont give up on talent thats proven itself before.

And if you limit yourself to players currently on the team, then 1) you lack imagination, and 2) insinuating that Gamble needs to be on this team is a stupid, ill-informed suggestion.

I repeat exactly what I said in the beginning. Gamble's a pathetic, soft player, who used to be good, and the Panthers can probably pick up some guys who get cut who would be twice as productive as the Chris & Captain duo.

This team shouldn't lock itself into Gamble, or Captain. There will be better options out there than him, therefore, he can be cut, duh.

"Swag" = groupthink, therefore, I don't give a crap about it. Give me as much negative as possible, you're still wrong. :yesnod:

There's a difference between "better" and "more productive".

The former is a qualitative, personal opinion. The latter can be easily measured on the field.

Fans rely on the first in their decision making, I'm focusing on productivity. Gamble years ago, may have been more productive, but to suggest there won't be any guys that they can pick up after Saturday who can probably do more good on the field than Gamble has recently, is just lazy thinking.

Chris Gamble = Everette Brown.

WTF are u smokin?!?! Who do u think will be cut from other teams whi can replace gamble and how do u think they will be more productive/better than

Gamble???? Don't worry I'll wait(in my Katt Williams voice)

Who's the last player you've heard of being cut after the 4th preseason game who has been more productive over a quality/proven starter

Good point but have you seen our two-deep at DT, CB, and RG? We may be the first to find starters that are better than our current players at all 3 poitions.

Typically you're right. But Gamble hasn't been a quality starter for a few years now. Just because he's the best the Panthers have doesn't mean he's quality!

    • It was absolutely a catch, and I can’t believe how many folks were stating, before the NFL’s apology, that the overturn was the right call.  The ultimate question in this case is this: can a player complete a catch with only one hand? Of course, we all know the answer to that question, and it is an emphatic “Yes.” T-Mac maintained complete control with one hand (believe it was the right) while the other came off when the ball hit the ground. The ball was in the same position in the one hand (watch T-Mac’s fingers in relation to the NFL shield on the ball) after touching the ground as it was when it first went to the ground. Going back to the question above, if one hand can establish control, then there was no need for the other to stay on the ball, so long as the ball doesn’t move in that one hand that stays on it   It blew my mind that they overturned this in the first place. This should not be a “We got it wrong on the replay because there wasn’t clear and convincing evidence.” This should have been, “That was absolutely a catch.”
    • Sign him up. I am willing to bet he wouldn't finish a game with -2 yards.
    • He is just fuging limited in every way.  On one hand, and nfl player, you would want to bulk them up so long as it doesn’t limit their mobility, elasticity, flexibility, ROM, or dynamicism - as is the concern with bulking up.  But the issue with that is, you would be worried about that when a guy has those traits to begin with.  Bryce is a very average athlete with a weak arm.  So if you’re not gonna be a great athlete with a strong arm, bulk up.  And if you can’t or won’t bulk up, find another fuging profession that doesn’t require athleticism and arm strength.  You’re built like a bitch AND aren’t a great athlete - you can’t be subpar in both categories…  well, unless you play for the Panthers apparently.
