I don't think this forum is going to become a "wasteland" either way, but I do think that there has been a bit of a change in atmosphere here this last offseason, which likely has driven some posters away.

The primary reason I care is that it derails threads, sometimes productive ones, with dozens of posts that I then have to sift through in order to find something interesting. It drags people who are otherwise productive posters often into it, too, so it's not as easy as just ignoring the 2-3 people who are the primary cause.

I also think it is silly that people were just bringing up other posters and insulting them in threads they weren't even in.

We all derail them occasionally, sometimes intentionally, others not. Doesn't mean we need so many insults in there as well to derail things all the more frequently.

Jake Delhomme in 09 was coming off one of the worst postseason games in the history of the NFL by a QB.....he followed it up with an identical game to open the season, and continiously imploded all season long in 09.

I don't see that being oddly similar to Cam Newton ( a rookie who has never lost a single game for Carolina nor taken a single snap in the regular season)...........
