Geoff Hangartner, Frank Omiyale, Keydrick Vincent

Vincent was just a stopgap, his days in the NFL are over.

Geoff Hangartner wanted a chance to start and that wasn't happening with Kalil around. Got a 10 mill contract to start in Buffalo.

Frank Omiyale, same story. Got a big contract to be a starter in Chicago.

yep

Vincent's injuries caught up with him...he was done.

Hangartner wanted to opportunity to start and that was not an immediate possibility at the time. This will be much like losing Connor after this season. He WILL leave for a starting MLB position.

Omiyale was a decent back-up and that is all. He was over-paid by Chicago and has not played up to starter level.

Typical knee jerk reaction by Panther fans who continue to over-value past players for this team.

We lets these guys all walk in the same 1-2 year period. I know it was cause we were grooming Otah, Kalil, and Gross to take over and such, but it appears since they are gone we went from having one of the most robust O-Lines to one with almost no depth.

Was is mostly money related why we let these guys be signed to other teams? Were there other factors?

That is a excellant question and I feel it has to do with the value the FO (Hurney)has placed on certain positions like the OL,safetycb,,DT and WR.We have had good guards and safteys that we just let go because the value other teams have on that position is greater than ours.Vincent and C Harris are good examples

Hurney may have issues but your logic for why you don't like him makes no sense. Vincent never recovered from his injury and his ability level deteriorated. If you remember we got him because he was coming off an injury. Harris was traded because he was too vocal and critical of the FO and they felt his coverage skills had eroded. It was also during the time when Richardson was dumping salary and the vets. Hurney does what he is told to do. He doesn't operate in a vacuum or make all the decisions.

Cut your All-Pro 11:39:06 AM when you have depth issues at OL.

This suggestions ranks up there with cutting Gamble.

Amazing

I meant in 2012, IF Gross continues to stink it up to free up cap room for better players/value and IF the Guaranteed portion of his contract is done?

Gross is over payed.
