I think the AE package was really more geared for if Clausen was the starting QB.

Newton provides the run/pass threat better just working from the standard shotgun than a AE wildcat.

I agree....as mentioned earlier he needs more of a Randle El type gadget play than wildcat.

yep, and he needs to be on the field and in motion enough that he is a constant distraction for DCs and used enough to be a legit concern.

if he can do a better job of catching the ball as a receiver, he brings a lot of versatility to the table that can be used really effectively to screw with DC's heads.

that is retarded. why wouldn't Wharton then fake a lateral to Gross while Kalil motions around for the reverse. Duh! Entire time Steve Smith should be in the endzone on all fours acting like a panther to distract.

i really hope we don't do this, esp if it involves edwards passing. these are just reps that could be used for newton and other players in the offense. let's worry about getting a foundation before we try to develop gimmicks (in game)
