NFCS predictions...

Yeah, that looks about right, I think Atlanta takes a minor step backwards due to a poo D. Although people think the bucs underachieved last year, I think they'll have a winning record again. The Saints will be improved, Brees won't throw that many interceptions again.

The panthers are going to suck ass again as well. So pretty much flip flop last years Saints and Falcons record, and that's the 2011 season in the NFCS.

If the Panthers finished 8-8, playing a tough 2011 schedule. I would have to believe they would be a dark-horse pick for the play-offs in 2012.

I think all of the NFCS teams are "close" or already playoff ready.

Despite our horrible record the Panthers have talent.

I think Saints have made some very underrated moves this offseason.

I think Atlanta COULD be explosive on offense, but I worry about Julios hands and Turners Legs. Not to mention the defense.

Tampa is young and a ??? mark.

Carolina is going to be really unpredictable weeks 1-8 around week 8 they could become a VERY dangerous team for playoff contenders to encounter. But I see 6-10 at best really.

So

Saints

Falcons

Bucs

Panthers

Saints: 11-5 (they've got one of two more good years left before Brees starts his decline. I expect this to be there last big hoorah. I think they make it to the NFC Championship game)

Falcons: 9-7 (they will score a ton of points, but will also give up quite a few. They are a wildcard team, and could make some noise in the playoffs, but they'll get bounced early due to the defense)

Bucs: 7-9 (I think they go backwards. They are a really good team, but I think they benfited from an easy schedule and suprised a ton of people who had them as a gimmie. I think the saints sweep them, they split with the Falcons, and possibly split with Carolina with Carolina winning late in the year.

Panthers: 5-11 Still a long ways off. I could see wins against Arizona, Jacksonville, Tenn, Tampa, and Minnesota

    • It’s a fan message board. Fans are going to debate players. Especially the QB. I hope no one is genuinely upset about any of the dialogue on here.
    • Teddy Bridgewater was a check down QB….saying that doesn’t mean that he literally can’t and won’t throw downfield in a season.  Bryce Young was never drafted to be big armed downfield passer.  I don’t get those out defending him when it’s pointed out that he just  isn’t that.   And finding a game or two where he goes downfield doesn’t change much.  Because all QBs eventually go downfield.  Just like a Delhomme or Favre will play it safe in some random games.  Doesn’t mean they aren’t gunslingers that got gambling in their DNA.
    • Yeah, Fitzgerald was smart to sign with the panthers--not sure how many NFL teams were in the Market....I was surprised to see Morgan re-sign Tuttle and Ray--even if Ray's contract is completely unguaranteed--but with Brown, Wharton, Brown III, Robinson, Cam Jackson--maybe Crumedy--Tuttle could be excellent depth--but at DE, not DT, imo.  Once again, it appears that Morgan may have found UDFAs who have a shot making the team--last year, there were 2 who contributed in a meaningful way.  This year, I see CBs Thornton and Reid with a legitimate shot to make the roster.  I also think LB Nomura has a legit shot (Morgan has to love this guy) as well as LB Bam Martin Smith from USC.  Finally, I think one of the safeties will stick. In all, I expect 1-2 CBs, 1 LB, 1 S, 1 OL, 1 K to make this team. Predictions:   CBs Thornton and Reid make the 53-man roster.  LB Tuasivi Nomura makes the 53-man roster as a ST ace and ILB depth OL Michael Tarquin may make the roster to groom as a potential RT replacement for Moton.  Moton, BC, and Nijman are on expiring contracts.  While I like what I am hearing about Kandra, the OG room is very crowded.  Lewis, Hunt, Zavala, Kingston--but he could compete for the 4th G job. S:  Trevian Thomas, Isaac Gifford are probably the front runners, but Jack Henderson from Minnesota might be able to win a S spot as well.  I expect all three will not make the 53, but the darkhorse name to watch is Henderson. Henderson's Pro day: Minnesota DB Jack Henderson had arguably the BEST overall workout of any Safety in this entire draft: 40yd. 4.47 vertical. 40” Broad. 10’8” Shuttle. 4.15 3cone. 6.70 Bench. 12
