Keep this in mind about Sunday

Lol. If he plays good its a shock but if he plays bad its no biggie?

You guys have set the bar really high huh?

Just realistic.

Even if Cam was going to become the next greatest QB in the NFL......he shouldn't perform well on Sunday. He and Carolina are in a massive whole and how big of one isn't going to show in the preseason vanilla games.

That isn't setting the bar low for him.....

Expecting anything else is just refusing to acknowledge what NFL history and facts of the game have proven.

I hope the coaches tell him not to throw near Peterson, instead throw it near Marshall, cause chances are, he's already beat on the play.

I'd be willing to bet that Smitty could beat Peterson (rookie) all day long... Smitty would just out class him. I'd prefer that matchup over Marshall vs. LaFell.. but where I really think we have the Cardinals beat, is our matchups with our TEs vs their LBs. I think the TEs have a big day.

We have been mediocre for so long our expectations are lower.

We no longer have expectations of a player to do well.

Its always excuses.

I dont expect him to do awesome but the guy needs to show me something week in and week out.

What is a realistic expectation then?

For Cam to be signicantly better in this debut than the overlwhelming majority of what #1 overall QBs have done week 1? Despite he has even more working against him than they did?

Those aren't excuses. We just have an unrealstic fanbase IMO. I also expect him to show me something week 1.....but that is something completely different than a expect a strong overall showing week 1.

Cam should be a night and day different QB week 1 vs. week 16. That was the problem w/ the last rookie we saw.

So if Pryor throws for 200 yards, 2 TDs, and 0 INTs after his suspension, would that be the greatest rookie QB debut ever since he has like 2 weeks of practice?

It would be a damn good debut......

He wasn't drafted #1 overall and that was the point I make. #1 overalls tend to go to teams w/ some pretty big issues outside of just there position.

What do you think are the top 3 greatest debuts week 1 by #1 overall QBs? They have not been good....even the ones who turned out great.
