I agree he should be picked up, although it is not clear that he is better than Munnerlyn.

Pro Football Focus has Butler rated slightly behind Captain using their evaluation system fwiw.

Who cares if he's better than Munnerlyn. I guarantee he's better than one of the scrub CBs we have. That alone is reason enough to claim him. He's young with a relatively small salary. People stating the fact that he's not better than our two top corners, as a reason to pass on him need to wake up!

Bring him in. As far as I'm concerned, the only cornerback we currently have is Chris Gamble. The other guys probably wouldn't make the roster for any other team in the league. Darius Bulter has pretty much the same skillset as Asante Samuel.

Nope, he's not an offensive lineman or a second rate WR or DB. That's key to our signings right now. Although with the Hangman and Jean-Giles pick ups, we are just down to second rate WRs and DBs. Butler isn't second rate so.......

The Patriots have strength at CB with pro bowler McCourtey, veteran Bodden and the kid they just grabbed with the 33rd overall pick Dowling. So just because Butler was cut doesn't mean hes absolutely terrible... Like ALL of the corners on our team.
