Great article on our secondary/Butler

"I feel like I'm an every-down corner," Munnerlyn said. "People point out my size, but I go out there on Sundays and make plays, no matter how tall I am. People say, ‘He's only 5-9. He can't jump with a 6-2, 6-3 receiver.' I've got a nice little vertical, and I'm a physical guy. If I beat them up at the line of scrimmage, they can't get down the field."

Sorry for the extra post, but I'm drunk, and I hadn't finished reading the article before I posted. Anyway tho. Look at this man. He has the potential to be a beast and the will.

I would love to see Captain as a captain on this team. This kid has heart. He's a fighter and he works his ass off. I kinda view him as the Steve Smith of the defense(just not as fast). No one gave Steve much credit when he first came into the league and we all know that man is all heart.

That comparison only goes half way, he might have Steve's heart but not anywhere near his talent. Captain just isn't a dependable starting CB. I like the guy a lot and he's a valuable role player on the team, but that role shouldn't be starting.

Gamble would be easier to push out that starting role then Captain

You are completely insane.

Gamble has played DAMN well this season.

He has taken the #1 WR on the field and done a great job shutting them down. He has covered Larry Fitzgerald and Greg jennings....two of the best WR's in the league.

Fitzgerald....3 catches for 62 yards

Jennings.....2 catches for 44 yards

What more do you want from the guy?

I swear....some of you spout off some of the most ridiculous poo. But, I guess the saying is right.....You just can't fix stupid.

I want to see Martin and Godfrey at safety, Gamble and Butler at DB, and Capt. at the nickel vs the three wide sets. As far as our base defense I don't mind Capt. starting at the two spot.

I like Pugh, but it seems like everytime there's been a big play this year so far he's been directly or indirectly involved. The whole "Buffalo" package with Godfrey at the nickel and Pugh at SS I admit is interesting, but I think we'd be better once we get a natural nickel in that spot, and I think that happens once Darius gets up to speed with the defensive playbook.
