He'll be back and better for it. Gives him plenty of time to get the playbook down, watch how teams defend the routes, get stronger...ext.

I still have a lot of hope for Gettis, I think he can recover from this injury and take it to the next level.

unfortunately, i think nothing is guaranteed for gettis anymore

before the injury, yeah, he was penciled in at the #2

post-injury, with familiar guys to the coaches being brought in... that the coaches have seen first hand? i'm thinking WR is going to be wide-open next offseason and whoever deserves the #2 (hell, even #1) will have to earn it

^I don't really care tbh... By mid season we should be hitting our stride and Gettis will be the furthest thing from my mind.

Don't get me wrong... I want his rehab to go extremely well, and hope that ^He can beast in Training Camp next year, but the name David Gettis is dead to me til then

maybe he can use the time off his feet to work on catching the ball out in front of him and not bodying everything.

that's not a snide remark against him, i genuinely like gettis and hope he will be damn good, but he bodied quite a few catches last year.

Isn't there a rule that if you can make it back by the 4th game you can come off IR and rejoin the team? I know he probably won't but others might.
