Cam Newton is The Real Deal

The thing I'm pleased with is that Cam not only had a great debut, but it was in the face of a constant blitz with pressure on his back in a close game. Even his incompletions were in the right area and several of them were catchable. Will be really interesting to see how he does week to week. This is as good of a performance as you could expect from him, don't hate too much when he has a bad game.

Guess what? It takes more than 1 player to win a game...That said. Cam Newton BEASTED. Anyone that wants to downplay it because they were expecting a lot less, well, get over it. It was his first game, and he dominated it. Promising start.

The problem is, the remaining haters weren't "expecting a lot less," they were hoping for a lot less.

At this point, if you're still talking sh*t about Cam, you must hate the team.

Andy had a good game until he went out with an injury. Luckily for his team, they have a good backup.

Why do we need to try to belittle either of these rookies? Or any of them for that matter? It's not like Cam's the only rookie that can possibly have a good day...

I started to type 'wanting' but I was providing the benefit of the doubt.

No need to hold punches, lol, they know exactly what they are doing... And it's getting old.

420+ yards in a debut... 3 total TDs... Better than Peyton Manning's debut... And yet they are insinuating that Andy Dalton's performance in one half before being knocked out on a soft hit is a better option. Cam had more passing yards and just as many TDs as Dalton had in one quarter...

L - O - L. Hometeam trolls...

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
