Chud: My favorite new addition

Ok, so why didn't anybody think of this before.

"we are known for our running game and O-line. we have a rookie QB, who will be blitzed all night and thus will have single coverage. The other team is selling out for the run and blitz... let's throw some deep balls."

I mean... how hard was that? I say our 21 points, Cam's yardage record, and our hope all belong to Chud. (yes cam gets credit for throwing all those yards but NO OTHER COACH IN THE LEAGUE WOULD HAVE COME OUT THROWING!!! ZERO!!!) What a perfect game plan. I am in awe of Chud's smarts and guts for going big. For the rest of the year everyone is going to have to game plan the deep ball and passing game. I bet we play a lot more ball control for the rest of the year, but MAN am I excited! He set up the whole year on offense. It's like throwing a curve on your first pitch. The batter has no idea what to expect after that.

The defense and O-Line will come around. We'll take our lumps this year, but as long as Cam isn't a one day wonder... we're in business for the next 2 to 3 years.

some may say this is overly optimistic but I fully agree

Setting the bar that high with our passing game shows that the teams can't just gameplan for Double Trouble & Smitty. We've got 2 legit TEs and LaFell can definitely make noise. I really like what Chud has done this first week and what it consequentially sets us up for down the road. We may not have been effective running the ball but we always seem to start a little slow in that area for some reason. We just need to get warmed up more. Stewart showed some power.

Definitely a great start for Chud minus the loss (but that can be more attributed to ST & Defense)

Our RBs also did a great job picking up the blitz. OC did a good job of giving our WRs simple routes that could develope quickly, and Cam had the courage to throw the ball deep. There were some dumb plays called, but overall the offense did a great job.

Remember how bad Jimmy and Davidson looked? Never again.

    • You would hope so. I’m confused why the sports world seems split on Bryce when he’s obviously not working out.
    • So let’s do the reverse? Make everyone agree everything he does is a disaster? I also think the whole “gaslighting” is on the eye of the beholder. It went from he can’t avoid one single sack countered with he actually did that well Sunday (with data backing it) to a little breakdown of why he is so bad. People are going to have different opinions. I’m also not going to pretend this wasn’t happening Day one with this little QB.
    • All this great stuff he has done, how often does he do it?  I have it at three or four games out of 14 where he was very good and then you get a drive here or a series there where there are some good things. Here is the gaslight part: everyone has put him on a curve with his first year the baseline, neglecting to understand how bad he was then. Even if he comes back twice as good, where does that really leave him? 25th ranked or thereabouts.     He had so far to go, and still does, it is a Major ‘settle’ to accept his play as worthy of giving him our future.  You want to settle when the Bucs have Mayfield, and the Saints have overtaken us at QB? We will be third in the division at QB. That is good enough for y’all?
