don't be shocked if there are people who never come around to liking cam much. don't assume it's based on something racial. I live in Mass., and I know many patriots fans who don't like Brady either for whatever reason. They acknowledge he's a great player but they think they could win with someone else... and also seemed in love with Cassel for god knows what reason.

Not shocked here. Nor do I expect it to change. There are plenty around here who hate Smitty, DeAngelo, Beason, Stewart, etc. It is a team. I don't undersand the hate of a player especially a newbie who hasn't really established much yet other than one amazing regular season loss. Question FO decisions, second guess the management and coaches, etc. In the end, if we get to the Superbowl with this kid at the helm, some folks are still gonna hate. I am happy to ride the Cam choo choo train.

So the rookie didn't win this one although he showed a tremendous amount of poise and surprising maturity on the field. My bad i had a shitty day. fug.

No Athlete is going to receive 100% love from everyone but the hate towards Cam is very telling...

Maybe it's not racial but it does make one wonder for the times we're live in. Way to many excuses as to why Cam has to prove himself in the NFL while QBs like Andrew Luck are given a free pass and told they belong and they are barely doing better than Cam.

A lot of people do think Andrew Luck will be great, but you can't make a direct comparison between him and Cam because their situations are so vastly different. Even if we had drafted Luck, I can guarantee you there would be people here picking apart everything he does... because that's what forums do. You may think these people are unfairly targeting Cam, but that's because he is our current quarterback. Those same people often did the same thing to Clausen and/or Moore last year (Not all of them, but many did).

I dunno, I've been reading a lot of media stories lately and following this forum and I really haven't noticed any sort of racial undertones to anything at all. The last time any of that came up was in the draft process with Moon vs Narwocki or w/e.

Thats a reflection of society at large. Luck is a privileged kid so to some he shouldnt have to prove or earn anything, it should just be given to him. Nobody ever gave Cam anything, he's had to earn everything he's won, including the respect of this fanbase.

Sorry, but that is a joke if Cam does not get that award. Really? He just broke a 1st game rookie passing RECORD held by Peyton Manning. Hello people? 422 yards passing for a ROOKIE QB in his FIRST game! Wake up!!! I thought for sure Cam would win this in a landslide.

      I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.

      Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
