Unbelievable....on the anny of Sept 11th....

OF ALL PLACES, this guy is from South Carolina....and to make it even worse he's a Cowboys fan.

They were talking about it on wnfz and Mac said the guy apparently wouldn't even stand for the 9/11 tribute and was later involved in an altercation in which the taser was revealed

Cops: Fan arrested in Taser incident

Despite added security at MetLife Stadium on the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11, a South Carolina man was arrested Sunday night for allegedly using an illegal stun gun in a fight with other fans during the Jets' season opener against the Cowboys, according to police.

Leroy McKelvey, 59, of Moncks Corner, S.C., was arrested by New Jersey police and charged with three counts of aggravated assault and two weapons counts.

McKelvey was taken to Bergen County Jail, where bail was set at $22,500.

New York City and surrounding areas were on high alert Sunday. Former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, were at the game for Sunday night's pregame coin toss. Security at MetLife Stadium featured bomb-sniffing dogs and a heavy police presence.

According to a statement from MetLife Stadium president and CEO Mark Lamping: "On Sunday evening, a man entered the stadium with an illegal Taser the size of a small cell phone in his pocket. The Taser was later used in an altercation with fans, during which no one was seriously injured.

"The man was immediately arrested. Procedures for pat-downs established by the NFL and used at every game were in effect at all entry gates."

Ridiculous!

From another article:

The website Deadspin posted a cellphone video Monday of the fight. One fan can be heard on the video saying: “How did he get in here with that thing?”

According to the New York Daily News, the fracas began because McKelvey and his entourage didn’t stand during the national anthem. They also allegedly spoke during “Taps” and “Amazing Grace,” drawing the ire of a Marine.

Tha God said McKelvey is a Jehovah’s Witness, and doesn’t believe in standing for the anthem.

The peeved Marine in section 324 wouldn’t let McKelvey pass to use the bathroom at halftime, witnesses told the paper. That’s when they said McKelvey used the taser.

Apparently the guy's father is saying he brought it in b/c "he felt threatened"

    • I see Bryce's development this way: He improved when his supporting cast improved.  TMac and Dowdle saved his arse last year, but in fairness, most good QBs have good WRs and good RBs--and good OLs.   The 2025 OL underperformed, actually. They were above average, but they should have been elite if you consider the salary cap.   As soon as we signed Lewis and Hunt, I started thinking, "That's not sustainable.  With Ickey about to get paid a LT salary, Moton and Hunt grabbling $50m per season combined, and Lewis around $17m--that would be nearly $100m and the Center just walked.  Yikes.  What does that mean?  Rico walks, Mays walks, and we do not have a top 5 WR on a second contract.  We do not have an elite TE, and only 1 is on a modest second contract. And now Bryce will demand $50m for his incremental rise to mediocrity?   So when we sign Bryce, we will get weaker at other positions.  Hunt, Moton, maybe Ickey and Lewis, will all be casualties--that is the right move regardless (not sure yet about Ickey, but he was not elite) Bryce is one lucky, entitled camper.  No competition since being drafted, and he lost his job for a while to the aging clipboard holder.  Now we are bringing in UDFAs and busts to compete with him.
    • Probably not.  If we are taking a QB, it would be a prospect to replace Bryce and not a flyer type player.  I can't say for sure, but I doubt he would have cracked the top 3-4 QBs even if he were to play this coming season.
    • The Giants, Cardinals  and Dolphins should have moved on, but they didn't and ended up cutting their QB early into a monster second contract and had to eat a TON of dead cap money.
