Stewart wasn't down!

unbelievable. someone needs to lose a job over this. how do you blow a call that badly? a call that was reviewed and not simply made on the spot?

unless there's something we're ALL not seeing, which is unlikely, i have to imagine rivera is gonna be on the phone with the league getting this reviewed through whatever channels possible. the zebras owe us one.

I think the elbow slammed into the ground

You think? I've watched it plenty of times and I have yet to see a single frame that shows his elbow down. Someone please post this frame because otherwise, there's no possible explanation. And afaik, the ref doesn't have angles that aren't shown on TV.

The reason I know he was not down was because he burst back up, and started trucking. I did not see any evidence to overturn the call, so I would have been less upset if they had ruled him down in the first place. Because they didnt, and the fact that we gave up a touchdown in 30 seconds and in 2 plays.. made me fired up. But we won, so I moved on.

The "fulcrum" could have just as easily just been his hand. We've seen him do it before. No evidence of his elbow hitting the ground. I also was furious when it happened, but since we won it's not as big of a deal. It should still be sent to the league office though. There wasn't a shred of evidence that his elbow touched, just the possibility since it was close to the ground and he made a great play of it.

I also agree that an elbow touching shouldn't make someone down.

Just saw a replay from another angle on nfl.com, and his elbow never hit the ground. Like I said, it's like the refs took one look at it and said

derp no way this happened herp, we shouldn't let such an impossible play stand, this guy's name isn't even chris johnson no way he did it herp derp herp

NFL robbed Stewy of one of these greatest plays we'll ever see in our lifetime.
