Look at other quarterbacks. Some hide the handoff, others leave it out there to make it easy to receive. It is a personal preference of the OC and running back coach usually. So telling Chud may do very little if that is their intent.

Also putting him back in shotgun to pass is part of maximizing his strengths. We are putting in more plays where he takes a direct snap but that is being installed along with everything else. By the end of the year things may look very smooth and orchestrated but right now it is still a work in practice.

Stop nitpicking every little thing as if it a completed project. It is an ongoing work, Rome wasn't built in a day. They are prioritizing and doing what they think is best in their order of importance.

DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart are 5'9 and 5'10 respectively.

Newton is going to have to reach just a tad more than the average quarterback.

I've noticed this, but this is easily fixable. It's a footwork issue when he's under center.

He has gotten better at it since pre-season.

Evidently you do not know football either. On a hand off what you coach is consistency. You want it to look the same whether it is a run or play action. An exaggerated extended hand off is fine as long as you do it either pass or run. I can flat tell you no safety or linebacker in the league is keying on a handoff motion. By the time he even makes that motion the O lineman are well into their blocks. If a safety keys on that all he will see is the backside of 89 running into the endzone after Cam pulls it back.
