football was a real man's sport where cursing and swearing was par for the course. .

Cursing at fellow players (WHO PLAYED WELL) when they're trying to console you doesn't make you a man, lol. Cam can look pretty dejected at times, I'm not surprised Olsen wanted to try to reassure him.

Cam did not need to curse at his teammate to prove his manhood. That being said, the cursing didn't really do any harm and they'll move on from it and it won't even matter soon.

Wow. I'm sure this never happened before or will never happen again to anyone on the Panthers. Because teammates never mouth off to each other when they are pissed. Football players are the most polite bunch of guys you will ever find. I'm still in shock a NFL football player said a curse word.

It has nothing to do with what he said ffs. It has everything to do with saying it to a guy who is giving his blood, sweat and tears to the same cause with him....

Anyone upset about this has never been around athletes. Losing sucks. Have told my best friends to fug off after a loss. Then we would go grab beers. These are ultra competetive athletes, not choir boys.

Can someone offer a link to a credible journalist who can lay credence to this? Sounds like bullshit to me. If this happened, there would be an article on it on ESPN or NFL.com.

I'm sure this never happens in the NFL. This is likely the only time it has ever happened, even if it happened at all. Cam should be benched, fined, and berated endlessly and called childish for being frustrated the team lost-if it happened.

Save for being a rookie, they really have very little else in common. Cam has more or less left all the other rookies in the dust as far as national exposure through what he has done goes.

That being said, I actually think if Gabbert said something like this to Mercedes Lewis within easy ear shot of a reporter, we'd still hear about it... especially if Gabbert came out and apologized in front of the media for saying it, lol.

I'm sure we would but it would be looked upon in a different light...I've read some of the postings on that site..Quite the opposite treatment of their rookie QB than here...Don't understand why...

you mean the ones where they said drafting Gabbert would mean the team was going to move to LA? Yeah, pretty different. I don't think we had many people around here saying that.
