Any other out of state...Cam Nut Huggers out there.

I've been living in Ohio for about 10 years now and all I ever heard were laughs about my team. Why are you a Panthers fan? Why? Why? Why?

It's a bit different now. Now all of the sudden I see Cam jerseys all over town and when I wear my Panthers gear (almost daily), everyone stops me to talk about Cam.

Hell, even people at work are telling me that they are not Panther fans, but Cam fans.

This is a strange turn of events for me anyway and I was wondering in what other cities if any, that this was happening so how about it... are there any other out of market cities out there gloating over Cam and the Panthers.

I hear there are a lot of new Panther fans in Auburn, Alabama. I live in Raleigh, NC with all the yankee transplants here I see more Steelers, Eagles, Jets and Giants gear around town than Panthers gear. But when we start consistanly winning I think that will change.

I'm in Cali and I've been a Panthers fan since day one. Was wearing my jersey the other day to watch the game at Hooters with my pops. Had several people tell me I probably only became a Panthers fan because of Cam Newton. I wanted to break my beer mug over some skulls, but I have rage issues that have landed me in very hot water before so I maintained low tones.

i am also from ohio, and the same thing is happening to an extent. except i live in a military community and have my whole life, so it's no big deal for people to like teams from out of state. i know quite a few panther fans actually.

Oh don't worry... I have to constantly blast the Bengals and Browns to survive at work. Not so much any more though....Thanks Cam.

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
