Negged to Smack?

I don't think that's true... the mods do keep some order, but even they can't be on here and see every single post.

Do like rodeo said and report posts...

Reporting post seem to be useless TBH, Not that its not a good idea but by the time a Mod reads it they more then likely have already deleted the post. Also I never said the Mods didnt keep order its not that, its the fact that we all can do it faster with Neg to smack then they can because they cant see everything all at once. Neg to smack was managed well and I never saw a poster there that didnt belong there. Some Trolls are funny and harmless and they never made it there, but the vulgar and nasty ones always did and very quickly.

Dimbee has a point... it got to where the posters couldn't be trusted to use neg rep wisely... people were piling on for reasons other than trolling. Negging for a dumb post is one thing... negging when someone just disagrees with you is childish... and it seems that's a common theme on here. I just ignore 85% of what's posted and I'm good... if you can't do that, then idk?

It won't be back, as far as I know. It got to the point where any dissenting opinion/posters were neg-repped to Smack when it was uncalled for. You know how the homers roll.

I cant speak for everyone but most of the time that was an exception more than the rule and why is it a no mans land after there in Smack. Why cant they be allowed to return.

I mean it kinda hard to punish that system when you have mods infracting people as jokes and infracting people like Fiz for his posting style. Yea he is Bi-polar but its just kinda his style and he makes good points also.

TBH I think we are talking about the 1% and ignoring the 99% rest. Yes there are some people that would do that but if you have a few bad apples you don't go chop down the tree. To say just ignore it is kinda like saying Crime will take care of its self.

Zod put together a spreadsheet of posters that were neg-repped to Smack and inserted a pivot table showing the posts they were neg-repped for. The disparity was really, really sad.

No system is perfect. I really cant speak on it because I used it for the right reasons. I enjoy a good argument but can you really say that anyone that got put in the red from Monday till now didn't deserve it? Maybe if its presented in a way that if that stuff happens again then it will be the end of Neg to Smack forever or those posters that do that will lose all there rep points. TBH most huddlers probably didn't know that was going on, I know I didn't.

it seems that people here get upset over a lot of troll posts, it would be great if we could just somehow add people to our very own list so that we dont have to see their posts...

OH WAIT

doesn't stop them from getting quoted so you still have to see their posts and entire threads hijacked with it.
Voted "No." That's what we have mods for. Too many here do not understand the difference between not liking someone's opinion and it being smack.
nah....i think most people in here can tell the difference between smack talk and differing opinion.

what we had yesterday was a bunch of smack talk from a wave of trolls from saint report that found out about a discussion going on here.

so have you found a non-sad way of dealing with the poor visitors that keep on getting unjustly neg-repped?

Gotta disagree with this. Grown man should be able to ignore posts on an internet. If they take it so serious that they really get upset they have bigger problems. Comparing it to crime which actually hurts people is absurd.

    • The division is most certainly wide open. The Bucs are a problem but Baker Mayfield is and will remain his own worst enemy it's a matter of when not if he has a bad game or even a stretch of bad games. As far as the Panthers they have done an admirable job of trying to address needs as best they can without pulling a Scott Fitterer and getting desperate which has only made us worse off in the past. On the Bryce subject all anyone can really say at this point is we just have to wait and see. This is the year and despite what the Panthers may say publicly doubling down and going all in on WR is as good as any sign anyone should need that they expect Bryce Young to have a very productive and convincing season. The pieces are in place. They aren't perfect but nothing ever will be. Regardless there's honestly no excuse for this staff and this team not to be able to compete in this iteration of the NFC South. Also just want to say this because I can say the hyper defensive posts already being made in here and it's probably going to be a season with highs and lows again but hopefully more highs for sure. But just because there is dialogue about a position group or a player that challenges your preconceived notions or makes you uncomfortable does not make it "hate" or "anti" this player or that player. For some people who talk a lot about nuance you would think this wouldn't need to be stated but that's where we're at.
    • If I was a coach I would preach "Don't let the refs decide the game" because as soon as you let the NFL the chance to help their bottom dollar whether it be teams that make most money or gambling then they will screw the team that doesn't fit their bottom line......is it rigged? No but do they try and make certain narratives happen abso-freakin-lutley. As I stated in a previous thread NFL players are the ones that SHOULD have all guaranteed contracts but the boot lickers on this forum disagree and argue for the billionaires in this world who own these teams, sheep
    • I wont go quite so far as to say games are rigged.  You wouldnt have to work hard to convince me there was the occasional thumb on the scale but outright rigged? nah.   but collusion on the rest of the "business" of football, sure.  No one really believes that the only time the 32 owners act as one is during the negotiations of the CBA do they?
