Just sitting here watching Fua and McClain get abused.

Just sitting here watching Fua and McClain getting abused on NFL replay... we really need to consider making a move before the trade deadline. I'm not saying these guys won't develop into good players, but it's clear they're not ready.

I'm not even talking about finding a DT that can get penetration, I just want to find someone that can hold their ground - that would be an upgrade.

Wont happen. Development year

yep. Rivera is pretty much doing the same thing w/ them he is w/ Cam. Put a HUGE load on them and hope they grow up quick.

This season isn't about wins and losses.....just b/c Cam is surprising people doesn't mean what this season really is about changes.

Yeah, CatMan I've noticed it too, moreso Fua than McClain though. I've noticed we keep rotating Hardy and Johnson inside, whom are both great bullrushers and letting our deeper DE rotation get on the field-hate being forced to do that.

In fairness, New Orlean's interior OL is very good. Ron Fields has played well enough-he needs more time on the field.

Do fans get a refund for a throwaway season?

but is it really a throwaway season?

If this season helps guys get better quicker....is it really a waste? I mean, Cam's usage is a perfect example....probably could of squeaked out another win if we took some pressure of him in some key spots in the redzone, 3rd and 2nd situations, etc.....

Would you rather have that extra win or put it on a rookie to help him rapidly develop so that this team can get better quicker?

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
