I love the draft and I'll tell you, the guy that will benefit us the most is Alameda Ta'amu, a nose tackle from Washington. His speciality is stopping the run...6'3" 330 the man is a clogger. Luckily for us, he's projected as a mid-late first round pick so we should be in position to possibly even trade back and pick the dude up.

If we take anybody on defense it will be a LB or DT. Also something to think about, it might be tough to take a DT. The reason why is because Ron Edwards comes back next year and Fua and mcclain will have a year under there belt.

We do need defense but if Jeffery starts getting touted as the next Calvin Johnson then IDC how bad your defense is...you don't pass on him. You continue to try to build your defense through FA and later picks in the draft. DO NOT pass on Jeffery because of team need. We are in rebuilding mode right now so a 1st round rookie DT (short of Ndamakong Suh) is not going to drastically change our team. Get Ron Edwards healthy, hope Fua and McClain improve and you go Jeffery in the first round.
