Oddly enough I think the best way to stop Cam is with a Fox style defense. Bend but don't break, give up underneath plays but protect the deep throws, make him earn it in the redzone.

Was going to say this exact thing, Cam is the opposite of most rookie QB's... he has thrived when being blitzed and has somewhat struggled against cover-2.

THe funny part is that with Beck at quarterback a lot of the things they said to do with newton apply to Beck. He is a poor man's Newton and has made fewer passes in his career than Newton has made in his first 6 games.

There is a reason he is 30 years old and hasn't started a game since 2007.

The Eagles defense looks very similar to us statistically and they gave Washington 13 points. If we can do the same we should win this week.

Just pick off Grossman 4 times and there you go. IDK if beck will turn it over the way Rexy did. Beck is more of a dink and dunk kind of guy.

Yes, complex and exotic looks that their defense isn't ready to implement. The Packers, Falcons and Saints could pull the stunts off and it really didn't help them that much with Cam. With the talent level of the Redskins, they very well may throw themselves off with complex looks and movement.

You're saying that the Redskins aren't talented enough to pull off exotic and complex looks and said the 17th ranked Saints, 22nd and 23rd ranked Falcons and Packers, respectively, have that talent - yet the Redskins are ranked 6th and are playing defense at a high level? Great analysis

    • For this reason, BY will not play against the Packers. They will find a reason for him to stay on the bench again.
    • Well he quickly deflected the question about Rico's "almost 7 YPC." He is very polished and he transitioned well to non-answers and side steps. I can see why a guy like him was able to pull the wool over on guys like Tepper.
    • 31st rushing D and 8 carries by Rico is coaching.  Rico is easily the best offensive weapon right now and it’s not really close.  *literally everyone knows Dalton is washed, horrible and shouldn’t even be a backup QB.   Drive 1? ZERO carries.  Coaching.  Drive 2 - Rico was playing great.   Did Canales lean into that or go for “balance”? Coaching. Drive 3 - ZERO carries.  Coaching  Drive 4 - 1 carry and opted for Jimmy Horn gadget rush (you can’t stick  with the Horn repetitive gadget runs each week and that’s not a better idea than getting Rico going)  Drive 5 - basically Dalton heavy as the half expired.  I don’t need to watch a game to know it’s coaching.  The gameplan wasn’t about setting Rico up to go off on a trash rush D.  It was bullshit harmony balance of the rush and the pass and making Hubbard feel good.
