The one thing I'll say this week about the Vikes game...

Our Triple Thread Running Game: 881 yards; 10 tds

AP: 712; 8tds

And he's the only thing carrying that offense atm

The only additional thing I can think of: We may need to limit an expected Shiancoe appearance

No way they can shut out this offense of ours right now. We better make sure we don't lose this with stupid mistakes

So let's beat the bloody piss outta the Vikings

:cheers2:

As posted earlier, I watched the Vikings game today and Ponder looks pretty good. Better than his stats for sure. This is not a walkover game.

Meh, turning the ball over plus his low completion rating. I will say he looks a helluva lot better than Gabbert.

you're right but we should be playing at the same or higher level than the Redskins given Cam's progression and how surprisingly well our secondary is playing imo

I think this could actually be a statement game of the year. Last week was a mild awakening. Yeah, I'm being very optimistic, but I think its warranted this week more than any this year

He looked in control of that team despite the turnovers. And Woodson is a different game than Captain M.

I'm excited to see the battle.

thats why woodson had 2 picks. we can win this game without direct turnovers (picks and fumbles).

we just need to force a few punts and not turn it over ourselves and we should be alright.

    • Of course it's a crapshoot to find a truly elite QB. But we don't even need that to be competitive or successful. Our two best long term starters in 3 decades of existence were both flawed yet productive passers and each led us to a Super Bowl. Hell Jake Delhomme in the year where his arm went off a cliff and we had to start Matt Moore for a couple spells we had a superior passing offense than anything we've seen under Bryce Young the last 3 years. We're still trying to crack the top 25. All I'm saying is this is not the 2023 Panthers by any means. The cupboards are not bare. We are not working with scraps. We have invested through the nose to build up the roster and the trenches on both sides of the ball. We've also added multiple first and second day pass catchers in the draft. If a QB can't succeed here they are cooked.
    • That last line is the key. Passing game lives or dies off the running game. I struggle to see any help the passing has provided in return - there is no pass to op n up the run to speak of.  Add in that we have downgraded the run blocking at left tackle according to analysts, and I really don’t know what to expect from C….  It puts more load on th passing game to help out
