harris' leadership on the field would be great. too bad his playing would be a liability.

godfrey>>harris

martin>>harris

godfrey and martin are fine. safety isn't near the problem on defense. we are solid there.

oh...people calling for harris to the pats...forget it. they cut meriweather, didn't they? and meriweather is better than harris. it just won't happen.

Why wouldn't you want him? Sure, we have to good safety's in Charles Godfrey and Sherrod Martin; but who do we have after that? Pugh and Hines... Pugh has the capability of being a decent special teams player and that's about all, in my opinion and Hines is well...Hines (Pugh is too small, yes Godfrey is the same height, but he also has about fifteen pounds on Pugh). The Panthers don't have a hart hitting individual on the team right now with Beason out. Harris would be a great addition to the secondary because he should already know a decent amount of the system and he can actually contribute (One can't base production off of his stats this year, he has only played in three games).

Now for those saying that our safety's aren't good at all, let me remind you that two of our starting linebacker's; who actually have the ability to cover are out with injuries. If you look at who the Panthers secondary gets burned the most buy, you will see it is a tight end, because without Beason and Davis in their; we have no one to cover the slot.

But back to Harris, releasing Hines and picking up Harris would be a solid move because the Panthers are getting a contributor not a bystander.

the panthers dont want him after last time.

its not happening.

the things we debate about sometimes are ridiculous.

We debate cause we are all bored and have no lives, no matter the possibility of it happening.

See... "If the Panthers got the number one pick again would they pick Luck and trade Cam."

I will never understand that garbage thread/question

Salty is right... the Panthers cut him because of his off field comments/attitude... why would they bring him back?

they didn't cut him, they traded him

He's not the solution. However, I stand by my opinion that if you can upgrade at safety in the offseason then you do it. Especially considering that it's a new staff.
