Props to LaFell

LaFell has been impressive and it was a nice catch/run on that 4th down play - but Naanee may still be ahead on the depth chart simply because he still knows the offense better at this point. Don't forget that Naanee had a nice catch on a 3rd down where he dug the ball out on a low throw.

DeAngelo Williams discussed this and said part of the reason Naanee is getting so much playing time is because he's like a coach in the huddle telling guys where to line up, etc... I'm sure it's a big help to Cam to have a WR in the huddle with intimate knowledge of the playbook.

Naanee is going to start because he understand the system to the tee. Still LaFell will be taking more and more snaps if he keeps being clutch like he was.

yeah, basically it is just to guarantee that the routes are correct for a rookie. Limits the amount of errors on routes to mainly being on Cam.

We must have a horrible team.

A guy catches a ball when nobody is within 8 yards of him and it is clutch?

Broken coverage is more like it. C'mon guys! We were fortunate for him to find such a huge hole in the defense. It was not a diving catch or anything like it.

This is what he gets paid for, just like the kicker gets paid to hit field goals.

With Cams progression this will not be needed next year. When Cam is skilled enough to make pre-snap reads and call protection we will see a drastic improvement on offense an that's scary.

just like the D gets paid to stop a rookie QB on 3rd and long

just like Steve Smith gets paid not over do his blocks pointlessly and get penalized on them.....not like he hasn't done that same thing before.

Good point, I'm sure that is great for Cam. I also feel like we're seeing a better effort out of Legs these past couple of games. Whereas in the first few games he would catch (sometimes) and basically look for a place to fall, now he's more active in YAC and trying to make a big play. Not sure what suddenly turned on but hopefully we'll see similar improvement all the way to the end of the season.
