Agreed, I bitched out loud and on here about Deangelo's contract, cause he will not live up to it. Especially due to the type of offense we're running here.

Stewy also fits this offense much better due to having the better hands of the two.

Dwill proved yesterday though he was the better blocker and you need that in the passing game.

Played for the Chargers and had a big run-stuffing tackle on a late 3rd down that practically would have won the game for the Chargers if not for Philip Rivers' stone hands. Don't hate just because you don't know.

i stand corrected. * bans uncrules* :-)

Sorry, didn't mean for it to come off so combative haha. I'm just a little miffed we didn't even go after guys like Harris and Pat Williams. Yes, I realize this is a rebuilding year, we're giving our rookies reps, those guys are old, blah blah blah. You can still give the rookies reps without giving them EVERY rep. We would have started Ron Edwards if not for his injury, so it can't be just about giving the rookies reps. It seems like we're willfully ignoring some veterans that, while they may not be at the top of their games as they once were, still probably have something left in the tank.

    • This And with possibly needing to replace Bryce next year and a deep QB class, I do not hate the idea of moving far enough back to pick up another 1st rounder next year out of the deal. I wouldn't have said that a week ago, but I also never expected us to land 3 big FA's at our 3 biggest positions of need like we have, it totally changes things.
    • The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
    • These Spurs are lowkey loaded.  If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
