Rivera will be dissapointed with 4 wins?

Happy Panther

Titans are no pushover. There are no automatic wins this season until proved otherwise.

That said, I am not wild about RR's repeated refrain that we have to "manage expectations",

Rookie QB, horrible D, horrible ST. I get it....he also references people not keeping pace with Cam. We see how good Cam is......Rivera is right to say that IMO. Until the team as a whole is playing at Cam's level (that means D and ST).......then we have to keep in mind what is realistic. We don't have the bodies on D to be anything but a joke.

Cause Rivera understands the importance of offense efficiency and strength of schedule.

For the Panthers to win it requires that we do not turn over the ball or it requires we score 30 points when we have a negative turnover margin. Cam's got one of the worst interception rankings in the league. This would require we play the worst defenses and offense in the league. We have one of the most inefficient offenses in the league. So it requires we play one of the mos inefficient offenses and defenses in the league.

So the only two teams we really have a chance of beating based on how we played in the first 8 games is: Tampa Bay and Indianapolis.

We are ranked 21st in offense scoring efficiency. Tampa is 24th. Very close but Josh Freeman throws less picks than Cam so it depends on who gets lucky on that day, our D or their D.

Indianapolis is 30th in the league in scoring efficiency. Great chance off winning here.

We only beat Jacksonville, 29th in scoring offense and Washington 32nd in scoring offense. So Rivera knows the deal. Our O sucks. What Rivera's saying is he doesn't see our offense's efficiency improving much this year if he's setting the standards that low.

You must be thinking of Josh Freeman from last season cause the dude's got 10 picks this year, 1 more than Cam.

As any competitive coach should be.

Fans can have the luxury of being realistic. Coaches and players tend to see things a little differently.

realistically, Rivera should be disappointed he went into the bye with only 2.

Cause we didn't play Sunday. Lol. Duh! That's why I said...it's a crapshoot. Whoever doesn't do it that day...wins.

Unfortunately Cam has more overall turnovers however. 11. Which means things are not looking good. And since he didn't throw a pick against the Vikings he's do for one Sunday or two.

Uh, you do realize both the Panthers and Bucs have played 8 games so far, right? Bucs had their bye in Week 8 while we had it last week. So my point still stands.

What the hell kind of logic is this? That's like me saying Cam's gone two games without an INT, so I think that means he will finish the season without another INT! Not throwing a pick one game has no bearing on whether or not he will throw a pick in the next game.

gets nitpicky.....Freeman has put on the ball on the ground as well....they were just recovered. Ball sometimes bounces your way....sometimes it doesn't.

Tampa offense has scored 13 TDs as a unit.

Cam has scored 18.

You do realize I just said its a crap shoot?

You do realize fumbles count as turnovers?

They both suck in interceptions. And they are tied in overall turnovers 11-11.

They have the better team. We have the slightly better QB.

Tampa and Indy. Those are the only two teams we have realistic chances unless we turn things around. Or Cam turns things around.

Fortunately we have the best wide receiver in the NFL.

Show me where I disputed any of this. I clearly bolded the following quote: "Very close but Josh Freeman throws less picks than Cam so it depends on who gets lucky on that day, our D or their D." which is absolutely false. That's it. Didn't argue anything else.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
