Neither of which had rich or long-term contracts. It isn't the player being signed that matters so much as the guaranteed money. In that regard, Hurney has f'ed up.

Any amount of guaranteed money given to Chuck Smith and to David Carr was a waste. While I'm not happy with Mare's missed field goals at least he is kicking the ball out of the end zone so that our awful special teams coverage doesn't rear its head as much on kickoffs. For that alone, he's not THAT awful of a signing.

Is this a joke?? or am I misreading this? If you are referring to Newton than either you havent watched a single game or are just trolling. The biggest difference between suffering through last season vs this one is at least this time around they have finally found themselve a legit starting QB to build around.

The least of the Panthers problems is #1.

      Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.

      I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
