2 things I'd like to see the Panthers improve on Suday:

Cat Fanboy

This season has been chaos as we try to discover our identity. Passing game there, running game we took a step back, injuries killing us (again).

There are a lot of things we need to improve -

I like the coaches overall, and especially 2nd half adjustments. I worry game planning isn't where it should be...so hard to figure out a loss after a bye week especially a blow out.

Defensive DB giving up big plays - either missed tackles or blown coverage completely.

The running game took a step back - not sure if that 'had to happen' to have a good passing team, but I would hope our Oline can do both.

The two biggest issues that just make me so angry is:

Special Teams & Penalties.

Special Teams - how many years must we suffer? Is it so hard to find a return guy? I LOVE Armanti - App State grad myself who really wanted him to succeed but enough - stop the bleeding...my bleeding eyes watching him try to return punts. With the kick off rules no one seems to be running kicks back - except us for touchdowns. I dont know if we have the wrong people or the wrong strategy but we cant seem to tackle - and punts...Someone explain to me 'out kicking the coverage' means. I guess Baker is kicking it too far with not enough hang time?? I would argue our people need to catch up to the kick not our kicker not kick the best he can. The whole thing is messed up - and I wanted, really wanted Mare to succeed but that blew up in our face.

Penalties - seriously...WTF...these guys are professional players how the @#$@ do they keep screwing up? I blame the players, but the coaches got to take some blame too for not reinforcing or doing something to stop these penalties.

Anyway - havent posted in a while but wanted to vent / use forum as soundboard for the two things that bother me. :(

I do agree with you on the penaltys thoa its unacceptable this time of the year These guys are getting payed like kings to play a kids sport how hard could it be to pay attention.

I got 2.

1 - Chris Gamble on Megatron every snap. Not one play where you let another CB cover him

2 - Stewart get more reps. I don't care what we paid DeAngelo.

We can control those 2. D and ST are so bad overall I won't wish for them to be something they aren't.

I agree with most of your points. As far as the:

Run game: Think we can get on track this week since detroit is pretty poor against the run

Defensive DB: Gamble has been playing real well, however there is a reason Megatron is Megatron (think he is nursing an injury now also). The other side it's just hit or miss, no other way around it. Hopefully we can get more frontline pressure.

Special teams: Not sure if it's injuries or what, but seems we really have no talent on kickoff coverages. Our return game is pathetic also and not sure what to attribute it too. Could be blocking could be lack of kick return ability.

Penalties: You can't tell me the coaches aren't harping about no penalties all week. I tell my kids stuff repeatedly. I discipline them for it and sometimes they still do the same things over again. Plus we hardly ever get the benefit of the doubt.

Anyway Hope to see some improvements and hope Cam learns to adjust to what was out there Sunday.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.
    • Start posting in threads in the other forums instead of just creating threads. No one comes over here so you aren't starting conversations.  Get your ass up to 100 posts. It's not that hard. Don't create 100 posts. Contribute to conversations.
    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
