Anyone know the cap hit if we waive d-will at season's end?

What logic are you using to deduct that we sign Dwill to big time contract and then waive him the following year? This isn't Delhomme! Dwill hasn't shown signs of losing talent, he has shown signs of not being used properly within the new offense.

Rivera will get all the pieces of the puzzle fitted up, but to answer ur question....I'm pretty sure we are bound to the contract with him unless there is a hidden clause and I believe then his guaranteed amount is accelerated against our cap space.

Maybe a better question would be, do we think Dwill will restructure for the benefit of the team?

Cut him after July 1st and spread it over 2 years
still won't do us any good except free us up a roster spot which could be gained by letting someone go with much less talent. the cap gain wouldn't be enough to justify us releasing him. in fact it would probably make it worse.

    • If it’s all the same to you guys, I’d like to use this thread for Tuesday nights game as well to keep this hate going. I have a feeling Tuesday vs the panthers is going to be violent in that arena.    @LinvilleGorgecan you please add “and Tuesday” to the game thread?  They play the Panthers again Tuesday. Thank you sir!
    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
