Cam Sets Rookie QB Rushing TD Record; 2 TDs behind League Lead

Cam is also stealing some carries near the goal line.

To be honest, having the run-pass option is a better option than handing to a back most times, when it is executed properly which has been our problem.

I just don't get too excited about those rushing TDs because they could come from any of our 3 running backs.

Some of the early goalline stuff yes....but his runs over 10 yards, no.

that is what makes Cam a unqiue threat. Defense is playing the pass

Cam is very unique and that's why I said having that run/pass threat in the redzone and inside the ten is very dangerous and is often better than handing it to our RBs.

Hopefully, Chud is learning more than it appears....and granted landing a QB like Cam with no off season is actually a tough job. Unique is good yet challenging. Chud's gameplan in the redzone is down right pathetic at the moment. He is taking his "big chunk" mindset beyond just inbetween the 20s and it has cost us.

That's how he rolls, don't expect much change

He called better games in Clev....

Personally, I think it is lazy play calling in Carolina to a degree b/c he has a monster athlete at QB. He used the run more effective w/ his downfield gameplans in Clev. RB was more heavily relied on in the past w/ Chud.

No, he should blame himself because that's what competitors do. Do not like fans with the perspectives of soccer moms.

Also it is a good year for rookie QBs. Andrew Dalton has the third most passing TDs ever for a rookie after 10 games behind Marino and Manning with 14 (they had 15) and could still break Manning's rookie TD passing record of 26.

This team needs to help this kid with some wins so all of these personal accomplishments would feel real worthwhile. And Cam needs to stop taking all of the responsibility for all this team loses and distribute the responsibility. Constantly blaming himself is simply making those who need to step up their game even more complacent.

no, I don't think Cam blaming himself makes other people more complacent, because it's clear the person who really needs to be the one motivating these guys to get poo done (Rivera) doesn't blame Cam at all. Cam shouldn't be calling out players. He also shouldn't be like "Yeah I'm all good, played a good game," because he has things to improve on - just like everyone else. Just because he did more doesn't mean he has nothing to improve on.

this season isn't about winning it's about developing cam. the playcalling is skewed as such.

So. We are intentionally sabotaging our chances to win, telling the rest of the team that they essentially come second place to Cam, just to make sure Cam can throw the ball, and our gameplan has nothing to do with our offensive philosophy, despite all evidence to the contrary.

Right?

And, we have the 9th ranked passing offense. We have the 7th ranked rushing offense. But yet, we are intentionally sabotaging out chances to win games??

No. Stupid notion.

    • Dude you're all over the place. Bryce definitely played better than average down the stretch last year. That's what I said. I dont think it's controversial, and I think it's true based both on stats and by actually watching him play. He was the 6th rated passer by PFF during the last 8 weeks. In no world is that below average You trying to twist this into something else is a you thing.  Have a great night
    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
