I know that we have discussed this many times and will continue to discuss it but I saw this post on reddit and thought I would share. (credit to allsecretsknown on reddit.com)

Cam Newton: 239/392, 61%, 3093 yds, 7.89 YPA, 12 TDs, 14 INTs, 81.1 Rating (54.5 QBR, 18th)

Rushing: 86att 464 yds, 5.4 YPC, 10 TDs, 1 FUM

Total Offense: 3557 yds, 22 total TDs, 15 total TOs.

Andy Dalton: 218/363, 60%, 2059 yds, 6.91 YPA, 16 TDs, 12 INTs, 81.6 rating (47.0, 24th)

Rushing: 23att 81 yds, 3.5 YPC, 1 TD, 2 FUMs

Total Offense: 2140 yds, 17 total TDs, 14 total TOs.

DIFFERENTIAL: +1417 yds, +5 total TDs, +0.98 YPA, +1.9 YPC, -1 total TO, -0.5 rating (+7.5 QBR)

And the respective impact of each player on their offensive efficiency (courtesy, Football Outsiders):

2010 Bengals: 17th

2011 Bengals: 12th (+5)

2010 Panthers: 32nd

2011 Panthers: 6th (+24, +6 vs. 2011 Bengals)

Why the difference in their W-L records?

Bengals Defensive Efficiency: 15th

Panthers Defensive Efficiency: 32nd (-17)

Bengals Special Teams: 7th

Panthers Special Teams: 30th (-23)

The Panthers also average much worse starting field position on their drives, meaning that in order to score Cam has to go further downfield than Dalton does.

Bengals Average Drive Length: 26.81 yds

Panthers Average Drive Length: 34.99 yds (+8.18 yds)
