Cam took a HUGE lead in the ROTY race today

That's odd that they would bench dalton in that manner. I think it shows well on him that they would want to protect him that much. His stat line certainly wasn't enough to get benched.

He actually wasn't benched, he was holding his hip and was taken out.

Cincinnati benched Dalton because the game was supposedly "out of reach".

Of course, Dalton's line score up to that point (11/24, 135 yds, 1 TD) probably made their decision easier.

And, while this is happening, Cam is breaking records.

:D

I thought he got benched because he hurt his hip?

He's got it locked down at this point I think. Dalton screwed the pooch today. But in his defense he also played Pittsburg.

Not surprised to see their D get mawled though. You all still think they have a good D? And Pittsburg's not nearly as lethal offensively as Green Bay, Saints or Lions.

When your offense plays ball, your defense looks good.

When you score 7 points like they just did, or 3 like in our case against the Titans, or turn it over 4 times like we did against the Lions, you get....that: 35-7.

They get Houston next week too so it's not getting any easier for Dalton. But same goes for us too.

Hmmm...Dalton didn't turn it over but was still beat 35-7? U are really trying to push ur "INT causes games" argument aren't u?

Maybe so, I didn't see the game. Just going by the linked article. And all they say in the article is:

Rookie quarterback Andy Dalton passed for just 135 yards, was sacked three times by Pittsburgh linebacker James Harrison and spent the fourth quarter on the bench as a preventative measure with the game out of reach.
