If we lose our next game

One more loss eliminates the Panthers from playoff contention, courtesy of Det and Chi holding the tiebreaker over us.

If we do get eliminated from the playoffs though, it will be by our own hand (losing a game or falling to the tiebreaker after the last regular season game)

Neither Det or Chi look good enough to me to give us a pure elimination-which would require them both to win two more games each this year-and I just don't see it happening. Chicago is terrible minus Cutler and Forte, and Detroit literally gets worse with every passing week.

yeah we need to win out and teams like the cowboys/giants, falcons, lions, bears need to lose out. not to mention other 4-8 teams having to lose one more time like the cards, seahawks, bucs, and eagles.

Cowboys will likely win the division, which makes them a non factor. Giants only have 6 wins and play a nasty schedule. The Lions OR Bears have to lose out, not both to truly eliminate us. If we win out like we are supposed to to have a shot, that eliminates Tampa and hurts Atlanta-whom we would hold the better divisional record over in the case of us tying them and splitting them head to head.

As for the other guys, Philly seems to be regressing while us, Ari, and Seattle (who has 5 wins btw) are on the upswing, would be dueling it out with each other.

our biggest enemy is really ourselves. If we do win out, we have a decent chance.

Just being optimistic. Being alive is nice, feels like we are outrunning the killer monster that has devoured all the teams below us and is on our heels-gotta keep running.

It's certainly better than last season.

    • I'd give Bryce until the trade deadline to prove he's the answer and if he's not I'm dumping him for whatever pick we can get and I'm riding with Dalton the rest of the way.  2 and a half years is enough time to determine if he can be the QB going forward so for Bryce he needs to come out over the next couple of weeks and show that. The other players in the locker room don't wanna waste another year of their careers waiting to see if you'll ever figure it out.  If you took a poll of the players in the locker room I'm sure they'd rather lose with a respected veteran Dalton who at least gives them some creditability versus losing with Bryce who the entire media will say was let down by his supporting cast when in reality it's Bryce's physical limitations that are holding this team back.
    • I agree that he should’ve never been the pick at 1. In my 44 years I’ve never seen a team invest that much in a QB who is my size. I’m not meant for the NFL and neither is he.    Accepting we can’t change the past, I think it’s the correct call to keep playing him hoping that he will prove us wrong. I think we were dumb not to draft a QB this past year and let him learn and compete but that’s our reality.    I’m hoping this is the last year with the BY experiment and he deliverers us 1. To the playoffs or 2. The number one pick and we draft a real QB.
    • In his first interview after the surgery he sounded absolutely miserable.  Man that must beat you down to have that done
