Your logic here is much like the guy who says the better running back is the guy with 8.2 ypc and 20% TD ratio over the guy with 4.2 ypc and 6% TD ratio.

Problem is, the guy with the "better" numbers ran it 10 times for 82 yds and 2 TDs while the guy with the "worse" numbers ran it 250 times for 1050 yds and 15 TDs.

The MORE you do of a thing, the MORE likely those numbers norm.

The LESS you do of a thing, the MORE likely those numbers skew.

I hate to admit it but right now The Golden Calf of Bristol is better. He's done more with less and while Cam fails in the 4th quarter The Golden Calf of Bristol flourishes.

You sit there screaming and comparing your QB, who you know is doing way more than he should, to a qb who can barely throw 3 good balls for 3 and 3/4 qrters and only come to life 5 minutes before the end of a frth qrt to put points on the board for his team simply because his team is winning more than yours. cam may do it more often but he is also given far more chances to... I do think Cam is more accurate than Tim but occasionally Tim can make some nice throws. Both are still young, lots of room to grow.

That's because the team TRUSTS HIM...BTW, it seems like every other other day someone post a thread comparing your QB to another QB on a winning team and asking if they are better. So, in your mind, the many threads comparing everyone from Luck to Tim to your QB isn't enough.

Honestly, since I've been here, you seem to be very quick to make excuses and minimize QBs weaknesses, while being extremely hard and IMO, quite unfair at times, to your own QB. Especially when anyone who pays attention to this team can see he is doing way more than he should for a QB to help this team and he's not really getting much help.

The fact that there is no more than two threads dedicated to the Cam Newton/The Golden Calf of Bristol comparison is clearly being overlooked by you. If it's not Tim, it's Ponder, Dalton, Blaine, and the next "flavor of the week" QB. I'm waiting for the Jake Locker comparison because I know it's coming.

The question is, do you see Cam as part of your Panthers' family or do you just see him as an end to a means? Maybe those who are so quick to defend Cam sees him as part of this family and not just someone who is here to "help" this team win.

I visited other sports fan-sites and can honestly say, I have never seen so many threads disecting and commenting so much on one individual as I have with this site and Cam. I don't even recall seeing thread and thread comparing other QBs to theirs either. All I've got to say is, way to build the self-esteem of your QB.

wow dude you have absolutely NO clue what you are talking about. This is the problem with you... you're a bandwagoner, but you act like you can draw conclusions about the past. Clausen was miserable and that had nothing to do with the fans, though perhaps it did have something to do with the coaches. The funniest part about your threads is you have no context at all to argue about, I wonder if you even watched a single Panthers game last year. This fan base isn't overly hard on our quarterbacks (not to even mention how long so many fans supported Jake even after Moore took over in 2009...). Get over it. The vast majority of fans love Cam. Even those of us who debate about whether or not he is perfection or not still like him.

It's funny you say there are no angry threads about Gabbert or other QBs, considering the forums on jaguars.com have a thread titled "Gabbert sucks," "Gabbert's Flat Footed Throws," "What do you want to see from Blaine?", "My opinion of Gabbert has done a 180°", and "Is it time to move on from Blaine Gabbert?" How many threads do you see saying "It's time to move on from Cam Newton?"

Yeah, you're right. Panthers fans are the only ones that look critically at their quarterback. Nevermind that such threads exist on the Vikings board, too. I mean, it's almost like players aren't sold on rookies who can't put together wins for one reason or another! Crazy! Strangely enough, people usually aren't sold on quarterbacks of teams who can't put together wins, even when they're veterans.
