alright trd thes are the reason I THINK NEWTON is better.

1.threw for 400 back to back in first game as a rookie with no offseason

2.thread the needle more than a couple of times

3.goes through progressions, not one look and run

4.read defense and audible at leat 2 times

5.throw beautiful deep touch throws over and over that are on point

6.runs are mostly designed

7. 13 rushing tds and 15 passing tds

8.took panthers from bottom 10 to top 10 in offense

9.does not have a defense or kicker qho can make 20 yarder(forget a 59 yarded)

10.just as much as passion and leader of the team as The Golden Calf of Bristol

11.constanly breaks records you never heard of and major ones.( might be the first to throw for 4,000 and rush for 500)

How in the hell do you compare a rookie QB shattering the rookie QB record books versus one who has zero important QB stats besides a win? I know winning is a great stat FOR A TEAM but we are comparing individual players here and really, there is no comparison. Cam is bigger, better, plays in a harder division, more NFL ready, arguably the best rookie QB of all time, is IN the record books...while The Golden Calf of Bristol wins because he doesn't have Mare kicking for him.

yea gggggreeeeat legit comparison by idiots. I am not trying to be homer either, I cannot stand this comparison it's starting to make me physical ill seeing it so much.

alright trd thes are the reason I THINK NEWTON is better.

1.threw for 400 back to back in first game as a rookie with no offseason

Cam Newton is in a pass friendly offense that is known for getting QBs very gaudy stats.

2.thread the needle more than a couple of times So has The Golden Calf of Bristol

3.goes through progressions, not one look and run So does The Golden Calf of Bristol?

4.read defense and audible at leat 2 times Proof?

5.throw beautiful deep touch throws over and over that are on point If they were on point, he wouldn't have so many interceptions.

6.runs are mostly designed So are Tim Tebows

7. 13 rushing tds and 15 passing tds Tim's coaches let the RBs get carries near the goal line. Considering attempts for The Golden Calf of Bristol, it's kind of embarrassing for Cam.

8.took panthers from bottom 10 to top 10 in offense It helped getting a healthy SS, a new OC who loves to air it out, a healthy DWill, two new pass catching TEs, and a new #2 receiver. We have better weapons across the board than the Broncos and we do not have John Fox coaching.

9.does not have a defense or kicker qho can make 20 yarder(forget a 59 yarded) False, we do have a kicker who can make a 20 yard FG

10.just as much as passion and leader of the team as The Golden Calf of Bristol The team hasn't responded to him like they have The Golden Calf of Bristol. Cam is notably worse in the second half when The Golden Calf of Bristol is at his best. The Golden Calf of Bristol has 3 OT wins while Cam hasn't beaten a starting QB in the NFL.

11.constanly breaks records you never heard of and major ones.( might be the first to throw for 4,000 and rush for 500) I guess breaking the rushing TD record for QBs is really important

I'll try and ignore the grammatical errors.

All opinions, no facts, no context, no nothing.

I have tried to explain why others might think he is better.

No one has told me why Cam Newton is better.

Pretty simple for me, honestly. He's a better passer.

The Golden Calf of Bristol's a clutch performer, a tireless worker and a solid teammate. And this season he's pulled off enough miracles to make even the most ardent atheist believe in divine intervention. As a Christian, I cheer for him.

As an objective football observer, I know that Newton has better field vision, stronger mechanics (by a mile), better accuracy, and is just overall better suited to be a pro quarterback.

Yes, The Golden Calf of Bristol is getting better results in the win-loss column this year, but I think once Newton gets his rookie year behind him and has a full offseason of training under his belt, he'll be the more successful of the two.

I could be wrong, but that's how I see it playing out.

I believe Cam is the better passer as well, but I can't support it with anything when taking everything into consideration. He does have a better throwing motion, but other than that, I can't justify it. I know it in my heart he's better, but I cannot back it up.

It's one of the weirdest things to me.

    • Not really. It all depends upon perspective. You can draft quality OTs high every year. They have one of the lowest bust rates by position. DTs, less so, but good ones still come along at a regular clip. With WRs, it's simply best to draft one in the first round if you want a legit play maker. Moreover, WR is going to set you back more than OT or DT at really all statuses, meaning JAG receivers are going to make more than JAG OTs and DTs, and elite receivers will make substantially more than elite OTs or DTs. I would also argue that it's much harder to find a franchise level OT or DT that can have an altering impact upon the game. So, if you don't believe they can, you may as well wait for day 2 or 3. That's why sticking to your board is probably the wisest thing to do. If you're not committed that the value is there, then what are you doing? Lastly, I don't think you should necessarily draft in a vacuum, but you must look at each team from year to year. People want to make them the same, but they're different. You have to start over every year and identify where the strengths and weaknesses are. You can't say, "Well we drafted [so and so] last year or two years ago, so we'll just draft this this year." That's not realistic and it can be highly counterproductive, especially in light of the reason that you should be trying to use FA to set up the draft.
    • If you read through his stuff, he's had a raging hate-boner for the Carolina Panthers the likes of which would make many long-tenured Huddlers blush. Every win was "yeah but" and every loss was "see I told you so".
    • Let me preface this by saying I've read WalterFootball on and off for 20 years. That's an indictment on my decision-making, and it's more than fair to be questioned.  However, the days of reading what's become weak ragebait have drawn to a close after he re-graded the 2025 NFL Draft's first round. He gave T-Mac a C on draft night. What was his re-grade for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year?  Carolina Panthers: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona – C Grade One-Year Grade: C+ Grade Tetairoa McMillan won Offensive Rookie of the Year, but only by default after Emeka Egbuka vanished in the second half of the season. McMillan was good, and was certainly limited by Bryce Young’s mediocrity, but there are still concerns about his work ethic and passion for football. If he doesn’t progress in the coming years, we’ll know why. Original Write-up: Wow, our Panthers source did not pan out for once. Jalon Walker was heavy chalk to go here, but the Panthers decided to draft a No. 1 receiver instead. While this fills a need, I’m concerned with Tetairoa McMillan’s work ethic, which is something you never want to hear from a first-round prospect, especially one who is chosen in the top 10. Bryce Young needs this, and McMillan is talented, but will he give 100 percent at the next level? Also, what about the defense, which was the worst in the NFL last year? https://walterfootball.com/nfldraftgrades2025.php
