Fun Facts about the Texans

they had a ypp last week of 20.6 whereas we had 18.1. since ypp tells us everything we need to know, I think this is going to be an easy victory...!

That is great news! Thank god we have this wonderful metric to illuminate all that is otherwise obscure.

I'm off to bet the house.

Texan run game has come down a bit since Schaub was injured. And they are starting to have turnovers.

vs ATL - PI prevents a pick-6 from Yates (yes Dunta did grab, but as all PI, sometimes receivers are mugged and no call) It is what it is. btw...PI was away from the play, not the cause of the INT.

@CIN - PI in the endzone. Have only seen the replay, but it seems both were hand fighting and should have been a no call since Jacoby initiated the contact. Not that this changed the outcome, but it definitely made getting the TD easier.

Houston's D is overrated. Not saying they aren't good but statistcally they look better than they are.

They also flat out gamble on D which leaves them open for chunks......Atl just whiffed on some plays but Hou was begging to get hurt w/ the big play.

It's funny to listen to the fans of the teams the Texans play every week. Last week the Bengles fans were very reserved and respectfull before our game with them. Carolina fans seem to downplay our defense and say we're all of a sudden turnover prone. I like being the underdog. :)

Foster's fumble last week was a non catch that they called a completion for some reason. It was a tuff break. Tate screwed up on the goal line for sure. The week before that they called a fumble on T.J. when his arm WAS moving forward enough to throw the ball 15 yards in the air. They said it never started forward. We've had some go our way and some go the other teams way. We're usually a pretty disciplined team. Atlanta and Cincinnati do have pretty tough defenses though.

I think y'all will be impressed with our defense and I definitly would not call them over rated. I watch them every week and they are one tuff bunch. We take some chances for sure, but we intercept and sack regularly and I can't remember the last time we let another team take it to the house on a long bomb. It's tough to throw deep with three guys in your face. Those guys are relentless, they never quit.

Good luck to y'all though. We'll see how it plays out

I don't think most folks are downplaying your defense. Around here we know how important defense is and this year, what happens when it isn't good. I think we are pretty confident in our offense but don't have a clue how our defense will show up or not. At this point we have blown games in just about every way you can so we aren't exactly over confident either. It is more like we watch and see what happens not really knowing what to expect. I can imagine after how your franchise has struggled for years that folks much be pretty excited especially given how the other team in Texas which gets all the press is struggling. If it is any consolation, most folks around here hate Dallas more than they do the Texans.
