Steve Smith has gone out of his way several times to endorse Jimmy this year.

You might as well keep him and hope he shows something next preseason. He's not worth anything in a trade and cutting him outright is pointless. He was a bad starter and not a great backup, but he's fine as an emergency option. Besides, its not like he's a team cancer or anything.

Id still take him over some guys that were forced into service this year like palko and hanie. Which means he's probably as good or better than most teams third option.
