There are 6 openings so far. I think Crennel will get the KC job...so there are 5.

Tampa

Jags

Rams

Miami

Colts

(Florida teams not doing well,)

might add Chargers soon

We know Chud is in consideration for one.

Fisher likely in the mix.

Who else is a hot name?

added...

Gregg Williams

Perry Fewell

Mularkey

Rick Dennison, OC, Texans;

Bill O'Brien, OC, Patriots

Vic Fangio, DC, 49ers

Brian Schottenheimer

edited....thanks Jags.

the only one off payton's staff i'd worry about it their WR coach. that guy is the reason for a ton of their success. if he were gone the WRs would be a whole lot less prepared and effective.

i would actually love it if some team hired him as a OC. he was on my wishlist for one here at one point if we were going to be hiring an offensive minded coach like harbaugh.

he's a decent coach and it would hurt the saints. win win.

again, the AFC because he could be good.

we'll see them less.

i don't want gregg williams coaching any team that the panthers will or could be facing on a regular basis. let him do the majority of his damage to AFC teams.

Oh, ok, didn't pick up on the joke. I was answering as if I were a GM and what my choice would be.

    • I'm more impressed with the UDFA that the guys they have drafted in the first the last 2 years. A whole lot of prove it is still needed before any improvement should be talked about seriously.
    • Sure.    ignore that he said this roster wasn’t good in 2023 to 2024 but keep up the effort
    • While I don't believe its a must win, (we have been better on the road this post season) it is definitely A NEED TO WIN the longer this series goes the more pronounced the Canes advantage on rest and health will be! If we hold serve at home in games 1 and 2 guaranteeing a 6 game minimum series for them if we lose the road games..... by the game 4 and 5 I expect them to be beat they have played A LOT OF HOCKEY the last three years, they have MINIMAL rest off a more physical than one might have expected series vs the leafs.... you know Tampa took their pound of flesh in round 1 from them. Combine all that with the fact that even though this year's canes squad isn't as talented as last years this IS a better squad than the one they swept last time that had McKenzie Mckeathern on line 1 Turbo with a broken hand a banged uo and eventually concussed Slavin (and even though it was a sweep 6 OTS and 4 1 goal losses is hardly dominant)  This year Bob hasn't been superman (hes probably gonna still have a great save percentage agiast us just a side effect of our style) Thatchuk is maybe 50% (3 game winners agiast us) their defense no longer has Gudas and several other downgrades.  While the Canes have a healthy and performing Svechnikov along with other big guys to counteract florida like Carrier, Jankowski, Robinson.   I by know means think it will happen but I either see this as a low scoring dog fight or a series were the canes surprise and end up dominating.
