Need help to find a reception place in Southpark-Matthews-Mint Hill area.

I'm getting married next year and I need a decent reception place. I looked into Pine Lake Country club but my fiance is not digging it. She wants something similar to Ballentyne Country Club. Ballentyne Country Club will cost us about 14k for 75ppl wedding and I said hell no. I'm looking for something cozy and not super expensive in listed above areas. Any ideas?

However, the best advice I can give you. Elope!

Run! Run far, run fast, but run! Take the money and all the hassle of who sits where, and she can't sit there because they are mad at each other etc. Take the money that you'd spend on a fancy wedding and go to Vegas, or Cherokee, or a cruise and use it to see shows and gamble, when you leave the room!

My reception was at Pine Lake but I was 19 and didn't give a poo about anything except my wedding dress. However it was a pretty good place for a reception. I wish I was more help but I know of no other place near by.

We are doing it at the Museum of the New South. It was very reasonable on the rate and liquor prices. Plus the POC there in on her game.

As of right now, we decided on Pine Lake but we still looking around. I live in Mint Hill and she lives in South Park. We will marry in St Matthews catholic church so we looking for a reception not to far from church.
