Videos of top prospects going head to head.

I love those Jenkins videos. I was at both the UGA/UF and USC/UF game that year. That catch at ~3 mins by Jeffery, Jenkins wasn't covering him just to let people know.

This thread is going to be hard to sustain because theres not many match ups out there to begin with, let alone videos.

Most of the time Mark Barron was covering Jeffrey. Kirkpatrick was beat on really 1 pass, and the other was a great catch made by Jeffrey with perfect coverage by Kirkpatrick. I can kind of see why Barron is considered a 2nd round pick now. We realistically could draft Kirkpatrick and Barron both in this draft... that would be nuts.

Jenkins has no value in the top ten and won't be there in the second.

Kirkpatrick is my guy.

Do you think Dre is a better CB than Jenkins? Or do you just think Dre's potential and Jenkins off the field record is what puts him over the top?

I said it in August, I'll say it now. Dre doesn't impress me in coverage.

Dre looks like an elite corner, and several scouts have Kirkpatrick rated higher than Claiborne. The combine could switch Kirkpatrick and Claiborne on many draft boards.. I still think Claiborne would be a better prospect for our defense than Kirk, but I'd be happy with either.

From what I have seen in the 2 years I have been following Dre, he is a physical dude. He can tackle, he play physical at the line, he can support in the run game, he can play zone coverage, but when it comes to man to man I have my doubts.

Can he turn into a great CB, sure. He has all the physical tools and potential to do so. But if you are asking me if he is an elite corner in CFB, I would say no.

I just know that I am going to have to start warming up to him because he is a very likely candidate for our pick.

Why?? He has done nothing special and played against absolutely nobody worth a damn, well except Jeffery and you saw how that worked out for him.

I think hes tall for the position and a hard hitter but that does not make me see him as a top ten pick.

    • Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.
    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
